Steve Yedlin ASC: “I think that the new technologies are freeing, in the sense that it is now possible to take control of authorship in ways that used to be completely fixed…but that also means we have more responsibility.” In his interview for ARRI's "The Filmmaker's View", Steve Yedlin talks about his approach to filmmaking and the production of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". Watch him and hundreds of international filmmakers more share their love of cinema, their creative approaches and their experiences with ARRI at 100.arri.com/filmmakersview

Steve has such an outstanding grasp of technicalities and the background programming of what goes into image processing. It's extremely impressive.

Yedlin's approach, so no nonsense, no woowoo, no talk of vague magic essences... It's honestly very refreshing. Highly recommend watching the presentations he has on his website demystifying all the usual subjects of cinematographical willful misinformations and naivities.
