I FINALLY SAW, Nocturnal Animals- no spoilers- blown away- all the qualities his clothing, cosmetics, fragrances- HIS STYLE, are evident- the man is SO MULTI-TALENTED! I began watching A Single Man and all I can say is- within less than 2 minutes, the phone call nobody wants- Colin Firth had ME struggling to breathe, I am healthy, heartwise, but MY chest hurt- a superlative performance by an inimitable actor in what I know will be a superior film- watching, Nocturnal Animals, sheer genius, a story within a story done SO smoothly, seamlessly- mystery writers heed this classic- this is "how to do it" and hire THOSE actors. I don't watch much TV, when I see films like these two, I KNOW why- most of the fare is so so at best- even with all the contemporary competitors- finally a little foreign content- I hope Colin Firth and Tom Ford BOTH won coveted awards on both sides of the Atlantic.
