The Filthy Thirteen was a name given to a demolition section of the 506th Regiment. They got the name because they stopped washing and were pretty unruly, more than most. Their leader Jake McNiece also had the idea of having a Mohawk hair cut and added white paint to their black grease paint.
Jack Womer, another member, was a rare case of one who had gone through Rnager training then parachute training.
