The best tools are from DeWalt, see how wear my yellow DeWalt gloves and measured twice with my DeWalt measuring tape and then cut once with my DeWalt saw and screwed together with my DeWalt drill. I love DeWalt. /s

Hey Grant, since you really like putting organic stuff in a vacuum, I suggest you try with a lung after blocking the airways, you'll be amazed at how much it can expand, but don't inflate it too much or it might pop

Very cool! I would suggest some flanged bronze bushings (findable at any hardware store) pressed/glued into the wood as an easy way to make it more durable for long-term use.

That doesn't take a couple of days, this can be made in like an afternoon, he just want to upload "daily" so he splits up the video. That is just the only thing I don4t really like about his video's that everything is split up while i want to see the result. I am not coming back the next day to see how he makes a rope and also don"t check him daily

Does that matter for you? Lot's of people are being called by their name or last name. I don't see the problem. Sometimes my friends call me by my last name, sometimes I call them by their last name. I'm not saying like "hey you c*nt make this and that" By your comment you make it look like I said something in an offensive way which is not.

For the record, I prefer multiple, slightly longer videos if it means hearing about the obstacles encountered and the way you think through the problem-solving process. I like the gadgets and projects themselves, but to me the explanation is what makes the video interesting.

In boyscouts we had something kind of similar, except the end you have spinning the lines would a L shaped bit the ropes attached to and spun into each other, like the mixing bits on a mixer and the rope would end up braided as you spun it it up. Was pretty cool.

When I was a kid, we visited a shipyard in New England (Mystic, I believe), and there was a large barn-like building near the water with a massive rope-making mechanism inside, where you could see how the gigantic ship ropes were assembled. It was pretty incredible.

Take an old kickbike or see if you can find wheels from something similair, and keep the bearings (If you can't find any, you can easily buy some elsewhere). When you have the bearing, find a few relatively useless coins, and superglue them into three stacks with the same height as the bearing when lying flat on the ground. Now, evenly place the blocks of coins you made around the bearing, making sure it will be properly balanced when glued on. (When gluing, I recommend using something to keep them tight onto the bearing, like duct tape or rope.) When everything is holding together, just add a layer of whatever texture you want on the outside, maybe just duct tape for that sake :P

Hey grant, I have an idea that will put you skills to the test. Try making a super detailed and intricate gummy mold, then cast it using your vacuum chamber. It would be cool to see something like your logo, a pizza, or even a full burger with gummy patty, gummy buns, gummy cheese and gummy tomatoes each individually casted. Hope you read this :P

Made you're machine with some tweaks, added plastic spacers in the wood so the eye-bolts won't were the wood down, used lock washers on the pulley assembly so it can't ever come undone, added washers on both sides of the pulleys between the nuts and wood so the nuts can't cut into the wood. Also had found 2" washers with 1/4" hole like suggested if we could find them Works great so far. Also you said you were in scouts. Did you get eagle? I got mine in 2014
