Apparently that song that played in the final scene before the credits was called "Without You" and it was sung by Casey Lee Williams, the vocalist behind the Soundtrack of the RWBY series. As for the song that's in the credits, is Shadow's theme from SA2, Throw It All Away(Retrospective Ver.).

Roger voicing the G.U.N. Commander continues to prove that he isn’t a bad voice actor. It’s just that he’s not a good fit for Sonic. Roger Craig Smith is one of my favorite voice actors of all time. From Chris Redfield in Resident Evil to Deidara in Naruto, his line of work is amazing, but as Sonic, it’s just a complete miscast.
@@viruschris3160 That’s because Sonic in the Sonic Boom cartoon is written specifically for Roger. So in a way, Roger is just voicing a parodied version of himself, and it works.

Sonic has never been the same again after Colors (even though Colors itself was a good game) (Generations obviously doesn't count because of its concept). Frontiers changed things for the best. The Sonic from the 2000s seems to finally be back.
@@Abner-gu3ve Yeah they're not the actual problem. I guess it's more because the wisps directly evoke the more lighthearted kid friendly Sonic from the 2010s started with Colors as I said but that's pretty much it.
The only “flaw” I expect this to have is the length. And honestly, the only thing bad about this game being us wanting more of it is a pretty solid flaw to have in my opinion lol.
I want whoever is responsible for composing the fighting choreography to give us a Sonic vs Shadow fight, all the fights in this 3 episode series went so hard.
Omega really wanted to destroy that ship lol Anyway, this was probably the best episode out of all the others! And that Omega action moment was so peak!! I want a fully fledged Shadow animated series now
Cuz Sonic keeps teetering on serious stuff and silly stuff, and even both mixed up. Thats just par for the course when you get into the franchise really.
I think Shadow Generations will start very similar to how Sonic Generations does with Act 1 taking place before Time Eater.

First level is gonna be Shadow running through the ARK and encountering Black Doom in that hellish Radical Highway shit and then Shadow gets sucked off in the Time Eater's portal
damn...Roger was amazing with the GUN commander....he's good at voicing every character...except sonic😅. But he's improving, with proper voice direction it kinda works like in frontiers
I REALLY hope that this prologue series are the opening introduction cutscenes for Sonic X Shadow Generations. It was a shame when the Knuckles prologue for Frontiers wasn’t in the game, but at least that one was relatively disconnected to the main plot so it didn’t feel as bad as it could have. But here, I will be *extremely* disappointed if Dark Beginnings isn’t the opening cinematic cutscene of Sonic X Shadow Generations; because this time around, the prologue contains the necessary contextual information to properly understand and enjoy the story. The biggest examples being Shadow’s motivations, such as *why* he cares about some girl named Maria or carries trauma from what occurred on the Arc, or why Team Dark are characters that appear in Shadow Generations and why they make good friends. Without this critical chunk of information that was beautifully showcased throughout this excellent prologue, casual players likely won’t understand or care about the story and their enjoyment of your game as a whole would be compromised. So *please, PLEASE* tell me that this prologue is going to appear in game (at least on PlayStation) and *NOT* just be relegated to an extras menu or base Generations hub world collection room that most casual players will never care to browse through… I greatly admire this work and the team behind it *deserves* to be put in the spotlight. Now that I’ve seen the full series, I hate the fact that it’ll be a PlayStation exclusive all the more… If it doesn’t end up being the opening cinematic cutscene of Shadow Generations, I *will* be depressed.
@@Whackywohopizzaman Maybe to you it’s not, but to me Sonic is my favorite video game franchise of all time. I don’t care what anyone says. It *is* that serious to me. I’ve been rooting for Sonic Team to prove their worth for over a decade. I was a kid back then. Now I’m an adult who wants to see my childhood done justice, and it hurts to see Sega repeatedly come up short ever since I became a fan back in 2011. This looks to be the closest they’ve ever gotten to recapturing the unique selling proposition of the Sonic IP in an *incredibly* long time. *Of course* I’m worried whether or not they’re going to stick the landing. So, no, I’m not going to pretend as though this doesn’t matter to me personally since I’ve rooted for this franchise since I was a child; back at a time when it felt like I and a few others were the only people on the planet who genuinely believed in Sonic’s potential to rival & even surpass Mario someday. Now that dream is finally becoming a reality (albeit gradually) thanks to the dedicated people at Sega who’ve successfully rebranded Sonic over the course of the past half-decade. Sonic X Shadow Generations is the culmination of years and years worth of planning and hard work. The last thing I want as a longtime fan is to see all that effort squandered by a few terrible business decisions; and knowing Sega’s track record, I’d say that I have every right to be as scared for the future as I am excited.
The animated shorts were gorgeous and the last one had some particularly good action moments, but overall I'm feeling meh on it. Needed just a little bit more story instead of fan service, I want them to keep up the mystery in the shorts but I didn't want the store aspects to be as barebones if that makes sense
I got emotional from this part! I haven’t felt like this since Unleashed. Like having a story that actually makes me care about these characters. I’m hoping the story picks up well in shadow generations and have a fulfilling story with an emotional ending. That’s my final concern about the game lol

I relate to Shadow in many ways. So yes, I do get emotional when I watch him relive his past because I do it too. It's not easy to move on when you secretly don't want to

I just saw a this on X and I had to see if Prim had made a video and here I am. This is heavily well done and I am heavily excited to see how this expansion plays out. I do want the best for this title expansion, only time will tell and My Expectations are kept in check.
6:55 This makes me wonder since Sonic x Shadow Generations is nearing release, is Morio Kishimoto the “problem” with Sonic games? It’s interesting that original Generations and Mania (games he didn’t work on) didn’t have any major red flags. I don’t remember Colors having really any red flags, with Lost World people were conflicted since the gameplay being nothing like Generations and Forces well.. you can figure out why there were red flags since poor level design and too much automation lol 🤣 And Frontiers with the pop in, asset reuse and level design of Cyberspace

Also, the reason why Abraham Tower has two different colored eyes is based on a real condition called Heterochromia. Abe has Complete Heterochromia, which is why one eye is yellow, and the other blue. If he had Central, then one eye would be blue, and the other blue with the bottom half being yellow or something.
I have to say this was a Good Way to End this Prologue as it was clear that Sonic X Shadow it’ll start on the Ark, as for the Finale love the Animation and Action Scenes, the Characters are Great, Abraham Tower has moved on from his Past with Shadow that I’m wondering if he’s going to be in the Game, and Shadow shows Mercy, his Mission to Maria, and the Past Tragedy he’s Struggling, can’t wait for the Game.
That emerald seems to have some meaning in this story. If y'all haven't played Sonic Generations basically after beating Shadow the Yellow emerald is given to you witch make me wonder if Sonic still wins the fight in Shadows story?
Ian Flynn is rewriting gens for this so it’s likely that during the sonic campaign sonic wins and in shadows campaign shadow wins like the hero and dark endings of sa2 and it’s never officially stated who won the fight but either way if shadow won or lost he would give sonic the emerald because he’s using them to fix the timeline he was going to give sonic the emerald originally and just wanted a fight first
I don't think there's any specific plot reason the GUN commander has different color eyes. Just something they put in to make it easy to recognize him at different ages.
This short series has been beyond back to form for the Sonic franchise! Finally we get that cool, shonen style that has been missing for so long! Just hope this bleeds more into the games past Shadow gens.
6:38 it really is strange to even think about the fact that they finally have something good in there hands. Only scary part is they've had an amazing run before and went downhill somehow. A part of me is genuinely hoping they start climbin back up to where they belong. one step back 3 steps forward type thing.

The things regarding Ab are complicated because of Shadow the Hedgehog's multiple scenarios. You kill Ab in few of them I believe so hard to tell which particular scenario of Shadow the Hedgehog the canon timeline is supposed to correspond to. We already knew he was still alive thanks to the last story of Shadow the Hedgehog where he briefly appears I believe so we just know the paths where you fight him (in the same flying tank we can see in the episode btw) can't be canon.
Part of me wonders if Omega had fought the Blue Falcon/Heavy Dog if he would have spared the GUN soldier like Shadow did but I think Omega would've gotten carried away and blew the whole thing up with the poor guy still inside lol
@@pinhe4d321you never fully recover from the loss of a loved one, it’s very easy for something to trigger the feelings you felt when they passed away, such as him returning to the ark. And I’m speaking from personal experience.
@@pinhe4d321Yes, it was his arc, but it makes sense to still feel the impact of the death of a loved one. It is something you always carry. In lore terms, considering Black doom, whom he previously had defeated, is back of course it'd bring back memories.

What was the red flags with Dream Team and Colors? Were people already talking about 2D? Did they see the cutscenes? I dont remember. I REALLY dont remember any with DT. If it doesn't count because no Sonic Team, why does Mania? Does the Apple exclusivity count?
It’s definitely an uncomfortable feeling actually just being excited for a sonic game without being that skeptical but we will have to wait and see if there is a catch lol
The 2nd acts is the only asterisk I got right now, I'm assuming they're fully 2D and/or really short, but if it's similar to Generations where it's 1 2D & 1 3D act then it's tolerable
