Congrats! It was a nice long video. Take your Time to accomplish everything you had planned before and we will be there to watch it from start to the end. As you already told a car build there is tend to be so much more of detail to deal with than you anticipated so it just takes some time to show it to us the viewers. Thanks for sharing.
Probably too dark for your tastes but I like racing green with carbon fiber 240 bumpers and fender flares. A modern red paint would look nice. Are you painting a single stage or clear coat yourself?
Once again. Awesome work and video! l Really enjoy your content. Color wise, i enjoy the 70's OEM colors, i think it fits the nostalgy of the car better. The 304 Gold Metallic is an out of the box color that looks good with darker wheels.
Based on water flow I would fully weld the outer 1/3 and the top seam of the panel. This way you are guaranteed that water will not get into the new material from your fixes.
Thanks for the video! Really appreciate you showing how you made the patches with multiple bends. Super helpful and I'm sure that'll come in handy for me. I have a 240Z with some rust repair in my future. Don't think it's as bad as yours but then again you never know until you start cutting into it just like you demonstrated!
Yoooo! Figured I had to watch the video to return the support You are crushing it bro!!! Great work breaking it down piece by piece!! Video took me a bit, just cause I had to watch it in sessions when I had some free time! Enjoyed the "would ya look at this" bit Ed is a nut 😂. Also the merch looks great bro!! love the logo!! And as far as ideas for color, Ive always loved the white color with some bronze wheels!!! 👌🏻👌🏻. Keep crushing it bro!! I wish you lived closer I would get ya to come collab with me for a video!!!
I get that about free time, thanks for watching! I would definitely be interested in a collab but yeah it sucks living here in the middle of nowhere. I'll definitely be down for road trips once my car is done and sorted.
coming along great Brother! good idea on building your own brake. nice metal work! Thats how I get complex shapes dont. As many pieces welded together and ground down to shape as necessary. Good videos Brother!
Yeah making panels out of more than one piece is sometimes easier, at least for someone like me who isn't real experienced with sheet metal. Just means you have more welding and grinding to do. But it can be worth it in the end.
Another great video. Didn't mind the length at all. For a color....how about Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl? Need an example of what it looks like, just look to the back of the parking lot some day during the week. Can't wait till the engine, trans and suspension!!!
Loved the longer videos! Almost done... 😂 My first car was a 78 280z. I don't know if it was stock color, but it was like an electric blue. I honestly love any datsun with that blue. I'm also a fan of flat blue as well. Either way, you're getting shit done.💙💙💙.
I saw where resurrected classics is now offering a replacement roof panel. If you haven't picked up a used replacement, you mat want to check it out.i hear there replacement panels are generally good
'The Wife' helps put panels back on the car AND she cuts grass.... you lucky guy. When she's finished cutting she can put the post-box back up, I don't know why your cussing so much, should have seen what it did to my car.............. Love the build.
Sunroof probably didn't rust out the floor these car came by ship from japan with no undercoating then the dealers covered up all the rust that formed and they just rotted from the bottom
So, are you gonna use a fuel cell for your fuel system. I need a spare tire tub. If you use a fuel cell, I'll buy your spare tire tub. My car is a 78. Lmk
