Hi, Lamont. This post brings the memory of my favorite song by Wilson Pickett: "I'm in Love," written by Bobby Womack and also sung by Aretha Franklin. Wilson Pickett was a powerful singer who could really belt a song out. But "I'm in Love" is a sweet serenade -- for the ages. Love never dies, as it shouldn't. Sending hugs to you Lamont for the precious memories and to soothe all hurts.

As one of the greatest R&B singers of the 60's, I have fond memories of his music. He was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

Though your not a famous singer or actor Lamont, your a treasure in my books. Keep on, keeping on.

I can't speak for others but I myself wouldn't mind at all if you go more in depth . I will continue to watch keep up the great job .

My mom was a poor excuse of a mother, too. It hits extra hard when you have a kid or are close to a little kid and you're just like "how could anyone treat an innocent little human like this so badly?"

I would love for you to go into a more in-depth look at artists like this. This man was amazing and how could anyone not have heard at least one of his songs. Maybe here is the place to bring it to the masses.

Lot of them played in small clubs. My grandmother in her day went to clubs juke joints, even some houses sold liquor, had music The things I've heard. But we loved it. My Granny is buried in Evergreen. She passed in 1999. She lived off Taylor Boulevard, behind Churchill Downs, and people would pay to park in her yard during racing season, especially Derby Weekend. She was 71 when she died.

Hi Lamont, I will be one of the few who will answer your last question. I love the longer length video's just because I love listening to you. You are very down to earth and interesting, so the longer the better. Also, I'm sorry for what you went through with your mom. It makes me feel blessed and also guilty for complaining because my mom wouldn't give me my allowance if I didn't do my chores. Of course, I did get a slipper thrown at me now and then, but that's just part of the Italian culture I was raised it, not considered abuse. Plus, they were soft slippers so it never hurt.
