Hearing the D1 tower bgm again hit me with *such* a wave of memories.

I didnt think i was gonna cry. Until the d1 music hit.

This finale was perfect, I was speechless to the very end. Bungie did a fantastic job with this finale. 10 years of story all brought together in one moment, truly amazing.

Caydes last words hit me like a bullet to the heart. And I’m a Warlock!

I think every Destiny player that have been heavily involved with the game in the past 10 years, with all the bonds we forged with these characters, all the alliances with what we called ennemies, the development of the characters trough all the seasons, the missions, the raids, the dungeons, the radio talks, the cutscenes, the items descriptions, the hours of lore videos some of us have spent on youtube because we loved this universe so much, the friends we met along the way, the memories, all of this to finally see this big forehead motherfucker getting kamehameha'd by an army of guardians and our best allies supporting us, even freaking Savathun was here taking the win against The Witness ! I was like a kid looking at the battlefield and being amazed by what I was seeing ! I know exactly how you felt, because it was the same for me my brother in Light and Darkness ! Peak ending to a saga that had its lows and highs, but in a way it made it even more exciting and full of emotions.

Zavala's quote about it not feeling different hit me hard. I was there for my midnight release of D1, I cried and it took it all in. We won.

I cried like a baby with my ghost and when I thought I got it together the d1 music played and I lost it again. I’ve played the mission twice now and even typing I’m tearing up. They knocked it out of the park

This game is my life. Half of my existence spent in this incredible, beautiful and lovingly assembled universe. It has meant so much to be here, and to be part of it. Per audacia ad astra Guardians. Whatever comes our way, we triumph; its what we're made to do

This mission was strange. It filled with patriotic energy but for the light. We were Helldivers this moment

saw this recommended and watched it. im SO glad someone was crying the way i cried. this DLC made me cry like 5 separate times, not including this finale. i remember playing the d1 beta with my best friend - and now we're here 10 years later. like WHAT? bungie really did amazing on this DLC. gonna cry again

D1 Beta Vet here, I was 10 when I first saw some video about the game on youtube so I decided to try it out, here I am 20 years old finishing this saga. I feel the same way you do man, theres no words to describe how I'm feeling, even with its ups and downs I've grown up with this game and something about it is just truly special. I still have the old poster hanging up in my room that you got alongside the game when you pre ordered it through gamestop, I don't plan on taking down ahah

Goes to show how important cayde is to all of us and the story. cayde is the reason I’ve enjoyed destiny for so long.

This was an amazing feel to a story spanning 10 years. Absolutely a blast to play through and watch.

Felt the same way fellow guardian! D1 Beta Player myself. Emotions hit hard as hell. Took a screen shot of the final seen to make as a wallpaper lol. Looking forward to the upcoming acts, which will obviously deal with more pressing threats, and obviously came out of the traveler. Seeing stuff on the season pass kind of shows what we are about to face so get ready for evil can never be destroyed only contained or held back!

The end of D2…. Perfection, on to D3.. but feel ya man cried even watching you react after seeing this myself…

Destiny 2 is my favorite game. Destiny is my favorite franchise. Despite the lows, the highs are, thus far for me, unassailable. This finale was an amazing, perfect ending to this first saga. To all the Guardians who stayed for the ride, we did it. May we all be ready for what comes next, and ill see you there.

Wish we could’ve seen the fight in the cutscene and wish cayde could’ve still been here but what a beautiful ending! I grew up with this game and it was a part of my life, it feels good and hurts seeing this ending but great video bro!

Never thought I go through this long journey ever since the beta in 2014. What a wild ride.

I cried more when Cayde gave his light to Ghost....such an emotional rollercoaster and how i met friends because of Destiny.

An end of a era I been playing since D1 so this finale feels like a huge milestone for me and I can’t believe the story of the collapse is over

Think about this for a moment. Back in Season of Dawn we visited our own grave. This moment was the moment we were supposed to die. But the wish Crow made to bring back Uldren gave us a second chance at life and prevented that fate from becoming reality.

I was brought to tears but ngl I felt it more for Ghost because I was ready to move on from Cayde, because I came to terms with his death

I haven’t been playing Destiny very long, maybe only about two and a half years, and even then, I didn’t play very often. Had a few friends who had bought me all the expansions for my birthday, so I played them all, and fell so in love with the story and the characters. I was just as much in utter shambles, bawling over this damn game while doing this final mission. It’s never been a perfect game, it’s incredibly flawed and the devs have made a lot of questionable decisions, but god, this final expansion and this final mission just utter PERFECTION. It hurt, absolutely, but I’m at peace with it. And Cayde… he loved us so much. As much as he wanted to return to the Light, it was also his act of love and care for us - whether you wanna interpret that love as familial, platonic, or romantic is entirely up to you, it feels familial to me. Make your own fate, everyone, and shoot for the stars. ♥️ (Also, was joking with my friends that maybe part of Cayde resides in our Ghost now, and that we’re gonna pull Ghost out one of these days and hear the two of them just having a full blown conversation 🤣)
