@esterherschkovitch6499 If you haven't already, I suggest that sometime you read the book, "Fragments of Isabella." It is the extremely moving account written by Mrs. Isabella Leitner who was deported to Auschwitz in May of 1944 with her mother, brother, and four sisters. Her father was in the United States trying desperately to get visas for his family to escape Hungary to no avail. This book was the first Holocaust memoir I'd ever read...and have read it innumerable times. This poetic, simple, tragic, and moving story has always affected me so deeply. I shall never forget it. My best regards to you, David in Los Angeles
Sir, Leaving the Rudolf Kastner affair out of your analysis renders it biased which is understandable given your association with an Israeli government agency, but is not excusable. Kastner KNEW what was in store for his fellow Jews but did not disclose it. He saved a trainful of high profile and/or wealthy Jews while throwing the rest to the dogs. Three of my grandparents were killed in Auschwitz and my 15-year sister was killed by the Hungarian police. Kastner and the Jewish Agency for whom he worked share the blame. My Gd avenge their torment, suffering, and blood.
There was a reason he died the way he did. It’s quite a bit of Jewish history to skip. Maybe because it needs its own discussion. Most of the Jewish judenrat leaders in Poland were murderers. Especially the one from Łódź YM”S. The Jews killed him.
@davidbenjamin4798 Dear Sir, please accept my deepest condolences for the tragic loss of your dear family members. I truly believe that they are at peace with God and are receiving His loving blessings for all eternity for the untold, unimaginable, and indescribable sufferings they endured at the hands of those evil monsters. Blessings and spiritual healing to you always, David in Los Angeles
Praying for you all in Israel! May God grant you peace, and return your captives safely to you. Love and prayers from those of us in America who are in Christ Jesus.
Antisemitism was endemic just about everywhere in Europe. Admittedly Jews did better in some places but that was probably due to personal relationships. Europeans including the Brits have a lot to answer for. And today they stand my and allow genidice in Gaza.
I just recently read the Memoirs of Rudolf Hoess and he claims the Hungarian Army were sheltering the Jewish people of Hungary and I'm wondering if there is any truth to that assertion? I know Hoess was an incorrigible cruel man but his memoirs did strike me as being fairly candid.
