11:07 this is actually a really smart play by apologyman normally you cant cancel 6h into scalpel if anji spins through it, so it looks like a free punish for brone however he hit the bomb with the 6h, which allowed him to cancel and surprise the opponent who's going for a punish very neat play

yeah, it was the guard crush. during 'guard crush blockstun', you can still get hit if you stop blocking while in blockstun. you can take no action except to block, so there's no point in doing anything except holding back on your controller during the duration of the guard crush. if you stop holding back during the guard crush, you'll get hit and it will be a black beat to tell you that you should have been blocking during the guard crush.
