Today I show what it may be like to see The Final Trial in Pikmin 3! With mods like El Camo's Emperor Bulblax fix, LazyBoii's Wistful Wild map, and Turtle™ exporting the Secret Safe from Pikmin 1! So thanks to these guys!
Ik this is supposed to be a mistake but seeing the bombrocks not work almost felt poetic. You can almost see Olimar realize the old tactic isn’t gonna work.
Retexturing the Wistful Wild is my favorite solution to not being able to rip the original. It's a clever solution that encourages a familiar remake of something that's already existed before. (In Pikmin 1) So it ends up feeling a bit fresher. Kind of like the Forgotten Cove
It would be so cool if they did something similar to all the Pikmin 1 maps like they did with the Forest navel in Pikmin 3. They could have transformed them all into their own challenge mode stages and it would have been such a cool throwback!
This is seriously so cool! I would love to play a Pikmin level like this; it was so cool when they did it with the forest navel! The actual Emperor Bulblax in Pikmin 3 is the cherry on top though; mods are so sick!
Here at the time of Pikmin 4’s release. The sovereign bulblax in that game has the same huge leap and Pikmin-scattering roar as it does in this old mod! Am I missing something, or was someone on the Pikmin team inspired by the bulblax mod shown here??
5:14 thank god for Pikmin 3 being super generous with crushing based deaths or else that would have been a large chunk of your squad down. This is really impressive!
4:36 The way the music crescendos as he jumps up and narrowly dodges the explosion, then hits like that as SOON as he lands unharmed in the exact same spot, is such an oddly strong "oh shit" moment. It really feels like that moment in a movie when the hero seems victorious, but then the villain reveals his true power and skill and you realize this is far from over.
@@Mikey04251 They’re still have the game of Pikmin 1 and 2 underneath at the end of the day, so they’re going to be good. I just honestly think the Wii ports through emulation is better
Ayyyyy, that a nice level ! also good job for the texture replacement i got to say this is very convincing and at first i thought this was really the Final Trial model
woa, what the hell, he attacks and jumps? thats insane, I was just laughing at myself because I was expecting there to be a boss but i remembered its a hack... insane dude, insane, how? and why was the map hard to get from p1? edit: i see you didnt code the bulbax
Basically everything from super early Gamecube days are in REALLY weird file formats, more than likely designed for games what were originally going to be on the 64 that were moved to gamecube.
Just made my night seeing such a faithful rendition of Pikmin 1's final level. Also, that S.S. Dolphin model was great even if it was a static model I would love to see someone fully render the ship and its animation from Pikmin 1. TBH an entire Pikmin 1 rebuild in Pikmin 3's engine and textures with new enemies would be cool but I'm getting too far ahead of myself lol.
Y'know, up until you walked around and changed the camera angle around the outside of the Wistful Wild's original entrance, I actually had difficulty seeing the map as actually that. Man that's awesome.
Wow wonderful work! Love Pikmin 1 to death and seeing another Pikmin 1 map being reimagined in Pikmin 3 is awesome! I do wish the Bulblax was bigger though, would have been cool to see. Otherwise though great work!
Amazing that you somehow made the Pikmin in Pikmin 3 have a panic function as a result of the roar! Do you think you'll use that again, and give Purple Pikmkn an immunity to it like they had in 2?
wow I never put together that the starting area of wistful wild is the final area of the final trial. good work though! thinking of actually booting up my wii u and trying some of these out
At long last... I've found the final part...my Secret Safe! And it's as full as ever! How glad I am that I've persisted in my search without losing hope... Now I can leave this planet without any regrets. Maybe I'll even stop and pick up some souvenirs for my wife and kids back on Planet Hocotate! ---- At last I have found it-my most prized possession! I am so relieved... It's as heavy as ever!
