@@C.A.MARSUPIAL I thought you said "best marking team all around the ground". Overall the Swans won the marking 106 to 85. Contested marks - especially inside 50 - is a better stat to win because it usually results in a score. On the other hand you dont want the opposition to take too many unopposed marks in dangerous positions. I accept your apology Mr Opossum

@@PetraKann to clarify I'm not good at putting what I mean into words. When I say the best marking team all around the ground I mean hard contested marking all around the ground. I probably should have said the best pack marking team around the ground. They should have that stat. Best pack marking team is a big thing and advantage in football. And I feel Carlton are the best and I'm impressed by them regularly how they do it even though I'm a tiger supporter. But I don't know if I'm correct they are the best and I mean for the year. Not just this Swans game.

@@C.A.MARSUPIAL .....well there is no doubt that contested marks are very important when taken near goal or for repelling attacks from the opposition. One of the many boxes a team needs to tick if they wish to be competitive in finals.
