What a great tribute from you Ken and all the other guys and ladies that work at Kaplan Cycles. This is a great example of how an employer should treat its employees. This is the kind of environment that people want to work hard for you. Enjoy your retirement .
Thanks, Ken, for letting us see your beautiful salute to your friend Jeff. And cool to think he started turning wrenches half a century ago when dirt bikes and street bikes and dual-sport bikes and all sorts of bikes were everywhere, with lots of them placed into his hands to be renewed and returned to the great wide open. And he wears his Evel Knievel jacket well.
Hey Ken , thanks to you and all the fellas for Honoring Jeff !!! And pass on my Congrats to him for an Amazing and legendary career 👍👏👏👏 Jeff truly exemplifies “ The Love of Bikes”!!!! Well Done Jeff , and Enjoy your retirement!! 🙏❤️
Jeff is a true craftsman. You can tell from watching the videos he’s been in with Kaplan cycles. He makes very difficult repairs look easy. Congrats on the retirement Jeff! gona miss watching you perform magic on the channel. God speed!
Ken, you made me proud of you ! Reminds me of my retirement function in 2015 held by my co-workers. Started on my 19th birthday and finished 41 years later at our State-owned oil refinery. I am now 68. Your employees are the lifeblood of your company Ken. You know that, and they have contributed immensely to your business. I have seen your interaction with them. Hope the younger guys have gleaned as much as they could from Jeff. I wish him the best in Florida. Hope he enjoys his retirement. Continue doing the walk Ken ! (Wish I could get a ride on that GS !) Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.
Nice job by all, touching. I've especially enjoyed the videos with Jeff, explaining what he was working on, what it needed, or of him running a bike on the dyno. Thank you, and best wishes to the Manic Mechanic!
Happy birthday tomorrow and congratulations on your live time being a top notch techinician. I am 64 and retired at 62 and have been a certifired tech most all my life as well.
“Never condescending, always level headed” these are the attributes I want to embrace. I’ve worked with a lot of people who fly off the handle at slightest inconvenience. A true man and tradesman knows he can find a solution and stays calm.
Your awesome manic you know more about the generations of brands of motorcycles than any book could ever hold. Enjoy your long deserved rest. Ken your a prince for giving him a hero's send off. 🎉
Guys like Jeff are a source of amazment to motorcycle riders , former racers and mechanics . I had an uncle George Philips ( Sand Springs , Oklahoma ) that had your mechanical genious and was an absolute wizard of anything mechanical God rest his soul . I hope your time in Florida is amazing and peaceful . I follow a young lady from Florida and she is a Treasure in all things Florida ...She is a hunter . a shark diver . carribean traveler sailor , Fisherwoman and the nicest person on youtube her name is Kelly Young and she will make that part of the world come alive for you and you can't help but love her spirit . Just type in Kelly Young and strap in . Her and her boyfried just went on a Bowhunt for wild boars and they are real good people . Enjoy Florida , the coasts are the best ! PK
Congrats Jeff!!! I wish I could have been able to retire when I wanted. Thanks to Brandon, I was forced to retire for not getting the jab. Retiring on your terms and when you wanted must be awesome. I wasn’t quite ready to go and I’m bored outta my gourd. I wish I lived closer to Kaplan Cycles where I’d sweep the floor for free just to hang out there. Have a great life and stay cool in Florida. P.S. Watch out for those huge ass pythons they have in the everglades.
Enjoy your next chapter Jeff! Always enjoyed seeing the quality work you put your heart into. It's awesome that you got to share your wealth of knowledge with so many others. Many masters of their trade don't. Talk about creating a legacy!
Fort Myers is one of the places I went to last time I was in Florida that was an awesome story and an awesome Wheelie I watched an episode of The Bionic woman I think they called it "motorcycle boogie" with Evel Knievel jumping over a fence with Lindsay Wagner on back of his Harley playing himself of course I've jumped over a 10-foot high chain link fence myself but not by choice a100 MPH head-on collision me against a KX250 on my bicycle at the age of seven sent me over that fence ...Happy Birthday Jeff 😎👍
So good to see respect like you guy just did my hats off you guys. Are at the top of my list of people i like and i too respect and i hope the best for all of you guys and for sure the team God bless
I had a gs1000 when I was 15 yrs old...it burnt when my neighbour burnt down my house! Retirement is the most dangerous words in the English language! Next chapter man enjoy Florida!
What a great send off for Jeff. I wish I knew a mechanic like him. I’m not looking forward to putting back the carburetors in my 81 CB900C. It was hard getting them out! Nobody works on older bikes around here.
I have a still shot of Jeff when he wheelied that badass Suzuki. He had long hair. Such a great humble man. Thank all of you for making me drool on the computer for years and actually owning a Kaplan V65 Sabre. Be safe Jefe!!!!
Really came to admire that guy over past couple years. Motorcycles was his life just like they are to mine and all the ones who follow Ken Sr. I'm sure over the years we will see him again. Probably bike week I would say guy has worked hiss ass off hope retirement treats him well.
I watched that xr 650 build man he blew my mind on that build guys brilliance inspired me to keep wrenching the head work alone 🤯 man what a soul. Enjoy your retirement man burn rubber not your soul 🇺🇸 god bless.
Dang brought out the bag pipes, yeah man finding/keeping a good wrench is hard nowadays, should take that big lucky leaf that fell/touched your bike, ya might miss them fall leaf colors of new england .? Guess well be vacationing in fl also to get our bikes worked on once in a while ha ha . Enjoy it all ! And God bless... America !
Jeff was an asset to Kaplan America 💯 Jeff is definitely irreplaceable, but l guess Kaplan can always reach out to Jeff over the phone for some troubleshooting if needed. Happy Birthday to Jeff🎉🎈
