Two words to describe his last two runs in WWE: Wasted potential. He was never gonna be the main guy there by any stretch. But as a Dlo fan myself, I really feel that they could have done so much more with him. I mean, they could have given him a short run as the I-C Champ or something like that. But I guess they had other ideas in mind. Which unfortunately, was goofy gimmicks. I did like his "Free at last to cane a white boy's ass" line before his match with Tommy Dreamer, and seeing Stacy Keibler in a sexy referee outfit is always a treat. But when these two things are the only real highlights of your two runs in WWE, you just know things ain't going too well for ya. Like I said, man: Wasted potential, and as far as I'm concerned that was a real shame....

Honestly I think the issue with D'Lo Brown was that he was a Vince Russo guy. Under Russo's booking he made the D'Lo we all love and remember, When he left WWE the company just had no clue what to do with the guy and couldn't give him a clear booking direction. But boy oh boy do I love me some D'Lo Brown. I remember being so excited each time the company brought him back, only to get mildly disappointed that he would go nowhere & immediately get lost in the shuffle.

D'Lo Brown is a well-education man, indeed. He can do your taxes.

D-Lo is my favorite wrestler and I actually got to chat with him at TNA and he gave me his blessing of his quick leg drop.

There’s actually one more WWE run from D’Lo. In 2008 he was back for a cup of coffee. Why I remember this and can’t remember my 2 niece’s birthdays and ages on the regular, I don’t know. Edit: Nevermind. Hawk’s got me covered. Also, Chris Nowinski might be worth a look. I have fond memories of him playing a good heel but I haven’t been back to rewatch it since it aired.

Heel D'lo reminds me of his first "big" run as a member of the Gangstas in SMW. It sort of looked like they thought they could have D'lo be the WWEified New Jack with that cane promo, but didn't put any effort into pushing him in that role.

You know what I learned from this? D-Lo was workin his ass off no matter what, and it was all pointless. Sad, indeed.

Yeah I don't even remember this. D'lo was an odd case too good too be a only mid-card guy but not good enough too be a main event guy i.e.a utility player. Had he not had the Droz incident and was booked better in the early 2000's he could've been the Kevin Owens of back then

D’Lo was always somehow considered underrated I guess, but he was incredible at the height of his powers and even in the later years from this video, he could go! From what I understand, at least he’s considered to be among the greatest if not the greatest of the European championship holders. I had stopped watched pro wrestling for a very long period after growing up and being obsessed with it as a kid and teen, so it’s like a mini history lesson getting to watch these videos 🤓

I know every wrestler can't be top dog, but it's still a shame D'Lo didn't get bigger than he did. He always had good ring skills and good personality.

I remember D'lo had a match on the Sunday Night Heat for Judgment Day 2002. I think he beat William Regal and Regal was on a good run at the time. I think that was the return of D'lo in 2002
