The interview with Access Hollywood or ET, where she and Patti were talking about their outfits, how great they are in the music industry, and how Patti's on her way to record in the studio in a gown, could've come straight from this parody. The best parodies tend to be the ones with kernels of truth within their stories.
The amount of names Patti and Aretha have for each other here is hilarious. Patti been called Patrick, Pablo, Patricia, Peter Piper, Old Yeller, and Billie Hollerday. Then she’s called Aretha everything from Angus, Hateretha, Wreck it Retha, Esther Rolls, to the shadiest-Keri Hilson.

Besides, we all know that the maker of this series is a Patricia Holte superfan who wants to polish her image at the expense of more talented and commercially successful artists. Despite the fact that Dionne went through multiple bankruptcies, Patti still feels inferiority complex towards her.
