The Finals devs invented the levolution from Battlefield 3 till Battlefield 1. After BF1 the original DICE devs leaving EA and founded The Finals (Embark).
Not quite... "Levolution" was a static pre-scripted event, which would not require any Server side computation... And was triggered by certain amount of damage. What Embark did - they implemented next level of BF:BC2 fully destructible buildings which is calculated in real time and is unique every time, depending on where the damage took place.
2 completely diff games... The Finals is all about gameplay, they made sure game actually runs excellent even on older machines - and is FUN to play. TBH, no one gives a shit about foot prints or RPG crater in the finals, there is just no time to look at that.
The finals does seem a lot better in many things at first glance, especially the damage of buildings. But battlefield has more finer details like footsteps and craters. I still miss the battlefield V revive animation though. But i must say that the fire spread gives the finals just a bit of an edge over battlefield. (i like finer details, also keep in mind that this is my personal opinion)
Well, in that case the same people made both, it's just and evolution of those. Those people made Bad Company games, Mirror's Edge, and then smashed all of that in The Finals years later.
@@Totone56 Embark Studios was founded in 2018 by Dice's former chief creative officer. Battlefield 2042 was released in 2021. He probably had nothing to do with the garbage destruction in 2042.
lmao. This "small" arena is much bigger than any urban map in 2042 or BF5, and has 500% more destructible enviroment + better sound and animations. Old Dice (Embark) beat the new EA Dice. Press F for my favorite Frostbite Engine.
@@soundeuphoria Compared to arena shooters? Yes, Battlefield is much less overused. There's dozens, if not hundreds of arena shooters around, but how many battlefield's clones? Yp 🤷♂
@@soundeuphoria Let's count the "Overused" Battlefield like games. Planet Side 2? - 11 years old game... BattleBit Remastered? - Yes. Call of Duty's Ground War mode? - Very strong maybe as there are no classes and the vehicles are very limited also just a sub mode of the game. --- I'm waiting for your additions with a sidenote of Arma is a milsim and Battfield is not so that doesn't count but even if it could, Arma 3 is a 10 years old game.
