The build is finally over and its turned out to be a great success. The students and tutors of Bridgwater College have achieved a mean looking trike with all the trick bits. Take a look.
Reverse is done with a kit from a company in the UK that makes the AE Lynx R1 powered track car,it uses a starter motor that is attached to a bracket at the back next to the swingarm with an added on gear that goes right next to the chain sprocket....making my own single seat version of this at the moment with a trailing link front suspension.
Hi guys, just a quick comment to say I did not help with the build of the trike. I was asked by the college to make the film promoting the trike project and the college itself. From what I remember the frame was already fabricated. Then the drive train, bodywork and extras were added by the team, along with a few adjustments here and there. My channel is a little slow at the moment but I am hoping to start making more stuff soon such as promotional film, short movies and anything else. If anybody is interested in having any type of video made for their company or similar, it would be great to hear from you. Cheers, Matt
One would think that if this was a resounding success, that a follow up of some kind would be presented. Or at least a further explanation of how the parts came together or design process. I have never found such details. Would most welcome these details if out there.
From the looks of it, the whole thing is the tR1ke kit from MEV. Frame comes all welded up for you, you just supply the drive train (Yamaha R1 donor) and a few extra bits and bolt it all together.
Matt, if you still check back, I bet you at least know who to contact for any further details... This must not have been a great success as NO further details seem to be present anywhere. Perhaps should be considered just a pipe dream instead.
