I don't think he is underrated. Everyone who knows their music loves and admires him. At one point, Crowded House made a decision that they didn't want to be the biggest band in the world. They knew their value.
I saw and loved Split Enz, loved Crowded House and saw the Finns perform this album live, but I think theres an extra level of magic created when the brothers perform together and with a great band behind them.
What do you expect. Hessie was the drummer for Crowded House and he and Neil and Tim Finn were best of friends for so many years even after Crowded House broke up.
He definitely was. Hessie will always be the original drummer for Crowded House and Split Enz. And watching him play with Neil and Tim Finn on the drums for the one of Crowded House's most famous iconic songs Weather With You. It's nice to see Tim Finn singing one of Crowded House's songs with his brother Neil and with Hessie playing the drums for Weather With You. Will definitely miss Hessie on the drums for the new Crowded House reunion for a concert from home during lockdown.
Seeing Hessie on the drums again after the break up of Crowded House is wonderful. Just watching him play on the drums for one of Crowded House's famous iconic songs where Hessie played the original drumming demo for Weather With You.

I saw the family Band play in Dublin a few years ago 🙏 Awesome Wowwww 💕 It was amazing 🌺🙏 One of my favourite memories was singing a High harmony in the front row audience to "Four Season In One Day" ....
