@@aakkoin you've watched too many 'lefites' and liberals on the internet... communists want to give people of all races democracy over their own, not others, and a right to self-determination. so opressed people might finally be able to decide what to do with their own workforce, education, healthcate etc. rather than be indebted to oligarchs. that is a win-win because 'non-opressed' people get to do so too. the key is to see that all of those people are opressed, some are just more brutalised according to ethnic lines. but whites don't get to do well also. only people in the high places do

Using "Marxism" as an ideological scarecrow is something that already has a long tradition in all forms of third position politics before and after 1945. The only thing that has changed recently is the indiscriminate breadth and illiterate simplism with which these labels are now used. Literally everything can be socialist or Marxist: Canada, the Scandinavian Countries, Venezuela, Obama, Biden, Putin or the Pope. Or Thutmose III, or the Ewoks. It is just a symptom that emotivism, irrationalism and solipsistic psychologism are completely taking over the sphere of political reflection, with an intensity and internal complicity never seen before. It was Lyndon LaRouche who made the expression "cultural Marxism" fashionable, today repeated like a memorized mantra spat out at random by a digital army of parrots. But the use of Marxism or socialism as empty ideological bogeys has become the mainstream discourse of groups competing for hegemony in the sociological space that identifies itself as the "right": starting with protectionist nationalists and US-type "libertarians". In fact, this ideological scarecrow is the basis of their alliance. They are two groups that have nothing to do with each other, and in fact are diametrally opposite in almost everything. But they function as two groups united and allied in solidarity with each other, exploiting the ideological scarecrow of "Marxism."

For many years now (long before the Euromaidan), almost all organized campaigns against communist symbols in Eastern European countries have actually been attacks against the RF or to please the geopolitical enemies of the RF. But that does not mean that the RF has something to do with the USSR. It means that in the ideological narrative of the enemies of the RF there is a very clear intention to continue exploiting the propaganda and ideological strategy of linking it with the USSR.

You and your Finnish comrades aren't alone. In Poland, they oppressed Communists as well, and even arrested those who use the hammer and sickle, including spreading ideas of Communism, which the Communists would get arrested for so-called "promoting Totalitarianism." It's ironic how Poland falsely accuse Communists of Totalitarianism, yet what the Polish government is oppressing not only Communists but also their people and LGBTQ+ community, who get silenced by the government. Somehow, that's not Totalitarian. Anyway, back in July 2021, Comrade Michael/Towarzysz Michał (Odrodzenie Komunizmu) got arrested by the ABW for the same reason (Totalitarianism) and trying to destroy a Fascist monument (Roman Dmowski). What's creepy is that the ABW weren't only spying on him at his mother's house but also looking at his RU-vid channel as well. Sooner or later, Fascism (even their disguise, Anti-Communism) would be defeated, and Socialism would rise again. Edit: A few weeks ago, Ranjeet Brar and 3 other members of the CPGB-ML (Communist Party of Great Britain Marxist Leninist) got arrested and oppressed by the British police who voice out against the war and Zionism.

I’m personally am Left of the Communists but I have my personal pros and skepticism about Stalin. While I wish the USSR had a less authoritarian leader and government, where it is closer to the ideal of a worker’s democracy than it is not, a more international communist movement where it is effective in stopping fascism and overthrow capitalist dictatorships, and other minor issues. But there is a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about Stalin himself as a leader; he is still a fearsome leader by those who question his authority which is true, hence the trials; but the amount of people he murdered is exaggerating in that it makes him worse than Hitler. I don’t bother looking over the deaths because you can Google articles about Stalin killing 60 million to be false and disproven by serious scholars. But this isn’t a Stalin problem anymore nor because the left has personal critiques of Stalin’s leadership; some critiques can be bourgeois distortions; but the problem is that the left isn’t serious about stopping fascism anymore and creating a proletarian state or even a movement. The mainstream left is more concerned about preserving the bourgeois democracy than creating a revolutionary force and they alienate themselves from any proletarian potential. If the left had the knowledge and skill to be able to convince and deprogram the working class to the left, they wouldn’t be witnessing Finland banning Soviet icons.

@@vadimk3484 i'm from russia proper and know myself, that most people at best just dont give a fuck because they busy trying to pay their bills and there's also resurgent hysteria about everything from immigrants (who paradoxically bacame a problem when amount of jobs actually finally started increasing considerably for like 20 yers) to, well, everuthing about the war, which uses themes of actually noble goal that is wildly was praised by the ordinary people (which is good), but ended up on words alone and, yes, overall so called "statists" only became more prevalent. I am not going to speak about a Baltics, altought there never a good news from here for a long time. But, i still would argue that many people are much more perceptive, as far as i know there was even resurgent in numbers of CPRF and overall increase, or better put a resurgence of interest in leftism overall, i would say as far as i see people are actually intrested, but we have quite opposite situation to america, where there whole plast of left-oriented creators inside and outside internet, but no, at least before covid, actually intrested public. In Russia there IS interest, but whole place is empty and what's left is pure discreditation, mostly, on top of not having revolutionary party within mainstream at all. If we solve at least later problem, somehow, we would have non-illusory chance for a change maybe some time after the war. И еще, держись там брат, я знаю как тяжело быть одним из нас, особенно в Балтике, с ее прекрасными образцами европейской демократии, надеюсь и вы сможете восстановить историческую справедливость.

Hello. I am a Trotskyist, but I want to study the Great Purge from your perspective. Which sources do you consider to be reliable?I'm really interested in knowing the "marginal" sources, those that academia and most intellectuals consider to be mythical or biased. Thank you for your attention. Great video!
@thefinnishbolshevik2404
@thefinnishbolshevik2404 10 месяцев назад
you can watch these videos: ru-vid.com/group/PLbnLysSug0vTyFuGMRYZZmAiiATUZHUZd There are also other sources here, under the heading "Moscow Trials" mltheory.wordpress.com/the-real-history-of-the-soviet-union/ As I've written here (mltheory.wordpress.com/2022/07/03/analyzing-the-moscow-trials/) Trotsky's secret organization in the USSR, the "Bloc of Rights and Trotskyites" has been exposed. Trotskyists and capitalists always claimed that the organization was a 'stalinist invention'. But since 1980s its existence has been proven from Trotsky's own documents. In the past, Trotskyist historians like I. Deutscher kept it hidden, even though he clearly had also read those documents. There are numerous sources that are discussed in those articles and videos, which corroborate that the Trotsky-Bukharin bloc was involved in terrorist and assassination plans. Their purpose was to kill the 'stalinist leadership' and come to power in a coup during the fascist invasion of the USSR. Their program was to restore the NEP and to give concessions to the invaders, thus basically making a new "brest-litovsk". Their plan is consistent with their beliefs and statements and is supported by evidence. There usually is no good counter-argument to the accusations or proofs, only denials and claims that Trotsky was innocent. Sometimes Trotskyists claim that some small detail in the accusation against Trotsky was false, and try to use that to claim the whole thing was a fabrication. But there are mistakes in every prosecution. The defendants lie and mislead investigators, and especially until 1936, Trotskyists and Right-Opposition elements even had infiltrated the Soviet NKVD itself and could hinder the investigation. I personally cannot explain all the evidence against Trotsky in any other way, except to say there is truth to the charges against him. It genuinely surprises me that some people are able to dismiss all the evidence. Most people of course are not even aware of the evidence.
@trabalhadorquele
@trabalhadorquele 10 месяцев назад
@@thefinnishbolshevik2404Thanks for the answer! You are perfectly correct, we must examine the available evidence and conclude according to the reality of the facts. I am a young brazilian worker, and when I had contact with the materials revolutionaries about the old russian social democracy, I identified more with Trotsky's theses in relation to the party debate in the 1920s. Here in Brazil there is not much material on Soviet history, nor on the revolutionary figures who made history at the beginning of the 20th century. I personally believe this is harmful for workers, after all, there is no way to consult reliable historical sources on the great October Revolution, on the Soviet State and on the development of socialism during the Cold War. What remains are reports by English or American authors, who often have some prejudice and do not deal with the issues honestly. Very few authors of this type are saved, like E.H. Carr and Arch Getty. Here there are works by historians such as Robert Conquest (whose reading I prefer to discard) and Sheila Fitzpatrick. There is also the History of the Russian Revolution written by Trotsky, which I found very enjoyable to read. Anyway, I'm going to be more exact, because I've already said a lot of words and I haven't been objective and exact in the question I'd like to ask you: can you point me to a respectable bibliography on socialism? No I refer to Marxism, because I have read the classics of Marx, Engels and Lenin, just as I have read Stalin and Trotsky. But as I already told you, as I do not have a historiographical command over socialism, and To be honest, I have a lot of prejudice towards Stalin, mainly due to the fact that he was the target of anti-communist and anti-Soviet propaganda. Once again, thank you for your attention! Long live socialism!

I will continue. However, the next episode discusses the purge of the Rajk titoists, and therefore I am also preparing a critique of Titoism, which is taking quite a long time. The purge of titoists is integrally linked to the 1956 uprising, because a lot of the destabilization in 1956 was due to Khrushchev's demand to rehabilitate titoism and remove Rakosi as an enemy of Tito.

Another thing I think we should do is find new ways to work and representate the movement effectively even when it is outlawed. @@jakekaywell5972 which Central Asian republics do you have in mind? For instance, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan are getting brainwashed by nationalism and anti-communism pretty heavily. @yumallah
@yumallah 10 месяцев назад
@@jakekaywell5972Central Asian Republics are NOT completely sane, my friend. Not at all. In fact, I’d say the only two relatively sane ones are Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Uzbekistan has undergone decommunization long ago, anti-Soviet and russophobic rhetoric is highly promoted, and ALL symbols of communism such as Lenin statues have been dismantled since the 90’s, way before Ukraine ever did it. Same goes for Turkmenistan, which literally stopped celebrating even Victory Day and has never held a Victory Day parade up until 2020 (and has again stopped doing it since). And Kazakhstan has been becoming increasingly more anticommunist and russophobic under Tokayev, instances of this include a Lenin statue quietly removed in a Kazakh town recently. So, all in all, the only sane ex-Soviet states right now remain Russia (obviously) and Belarus.
@vadimk3484
@vadimk3484 10 месяцев назад
@@yumallah Russia is lightyears from being "sane" too - state propaganda is trying to privatize Soviet achievements (i.e. the space program or defeating the Nazis), while pouring tons of sh*t all over the Bolsheviks, Lenin, Stalin, Marxism, etc, and cracking down on contemporary communists (not counting soc-chauvinists like the CPRF). There's also an obvious attempt to create a positive public opinion towards the Russian Empire and white-army fascists like Kolchak and Mannerheim. They're also heavily advertising the writings of fascist "philosophers" like Ivan Ilyin, putting that Nazi garbage into school programs to zombify kids. Considering all of the above, and the fact that any kind of meaningful political opposition to the status-quo currently just gets stamped out by the cops, Russia is already a fascist state, and it's only getting worse. Belarus is a bit less eclectic (at least official propaganda doesn't glorify fascists), but it's still a capitalist state and basically a satellite of Russia.
