I gotta say the pizza scenes was one of my favorites. Just the fact that Liam agreed to pizza, even though he hates it, because she really wanted it & ordered all the toppings and everything, then he just got plain bread on his half. It was rediculous, and hillarious, and charming, and sweet. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sorry but this has got me so frustrated! No way would I refuse to heal my team mates just to keep my boyfriend from being pissed off, especially when that seemed to be his constant state already! They could have been finished with the tournament hours sooner if everyone was healed! Just seems silly...
The frustration I’m having with all the characters, is pissing me off. Like be productive, have initiative and at the times Liam is telling them to do and she is telling him to chill out is like no not be chill , work the fuck together to get shit down.
For sure really moronic choices. From the guy not going into the cave fast. To the girl not being able to drag dirt into the chamber they could all stand in. Not to mention her not healing and keeping it a secret. Then she chases the girl alone during the fight after seeing her boy toy coughing up blood. It was really shity writing. I'm sorry but this book sucked and it could have been awesome! And then she's getting burned and forgets her little pet can heal. Come on.... how stupid is that.
For some reason books/shows where people keep making stupid choices really screws with my anxiety. As much as I'm enjoying the story, her stupidity is making me physically ill. I keep taking breaks to calm down, but BY THE ANCESTORS!!!
i found these books by accident and i am so glad i did they are good clean stories which is a nice change i like the characters and the story has held my intrest
Why would she not use her familiar to help her team? Smh she is annoying and is practically making them lose because of this idiotic behavior, its like shes a child. Help your team no matter the cost or people will die is that so hard to understand?? Ugh
I agree. She could just act like it's the first she knew about his healing powers. She's super selfish and annoying, I'm not sure I can continue listening when it makes me this irritated. 😅

I am enjoying the story but I hate it so much when books or movies have the girls friends pressure her to dress in a outfit that she's not comfortable with to get the guys attention. This is such a toxic thing to teach girls that you have to go nearly naked to get a guys attention. If that's the thing that makes him want to be with you then you don't want him!!! Find someone that likes your sense of humor, your intelligence, your kind heart. These are the things that you'll have for a lifetime
I had a question, Liam said that all toaqua were darker because they mixed less with other ethnicities and stayed behind (not really traveling) and Sophia was lighter because she was a fire elemental, wouldn’t she had looked very different from her water parents… I feel like she would’ve realized she was adopted I’m probably missing something tho
So i just got a thought it would be so cool if thay all make it out and the one who don't have a familiar was to get a new one somehow. It probably won't happen but it would be good thing.
Oh my God I wish I could reach through the book and rip Sophia‘s dress off of her body for myself she and I have very similar styles I wish I knew where you got the inspiration from the dress or if there was anyway I could actually get the dress this is a hallmark of a good author making me wanna dress that doesn’t even exist

Well, the story is nice. The characters demand a lot of patients for whining, hysteria, and lack of practicality and then really - keep your secret to the cost of your entire team - added to the overall naiveté of the main character, makes her truly unpleasant.
Same. I give up. It has some good points but the characters and their familiars are so weak and stupid it’s worse than cringe to even try to finish. They also need better narrator’s. It was hard to listen to.
The way this book is written seems like high school written by a middle schooler. I agree some college ppl act like children though. I think the story is cute though but I will not proceed with any other books from this series.
I can understand this just disdain for processed food but not enjoying pineapple on pizza, I despise this main character with an infinite passion of prejudice!
