Thank you for the great detailed review! I really enjoyed your video and am so glad that you are enjoying your stoves. With more practice you will perfect your use on this one. Cheers!
Thanks very much! When I get a product that I personally enjoy I love to share it with my friends. Take care and thanks for designing such great products! Wade
You did an outstanding job of explaining all the functions of that cute lil stove. I just gotta have one soon. And an awesome gift idea for all my loved ones. Cuz ya just never know what's gonna happen anymore. Thank you again for making me feel comfortable with this stove.
great video, bought a firebox around 2010 have not purchased another stove in all that time, works really well, have used it on camping trips, weekend trips, on the patio in summer and in the winter, and a lot during hurricanes, have purchased them for friends and grandsons, i am sure it will long outlive me. thanks again for your wonderful video.
Excellent Review and Walk through,,,, As You mentioned,,, the versatility of the Firebox cannot be Touched. Baking with the Billy can’s is what really brings things to the next level,,,, Blessing to You and Your Family,,, Joshua
Like many others put in their comments, it's certainly one of the best If not the best in deep review of the FireBox beside the one of Steve👌🙌👏👏👏 You cannot say better when you mentionned that a lot of innovation went into the design of this stove. I got mien more than 2 years ago And still discovering new way of using it. So versatil, easy to use, efficient, capable of high output when needed but allow very accurate heat control when necessairely. Worth every penny invested And every onces added to the backpack, by far my favorite piece of gear And certainly the best on the market. You are going to Love this stove can tell you And for many years to come because it's made to last 💪💪💪💪👊✌️
Thank you so much my friend for your kind words, but I just simply highlighted this excellent product! The only twig stoves I use now are from Firebox, quality and innovation win me over every time! Take care, Wade
Awesome video Wade..... great to have you back brother!!! Great demo on the stove..... it's packed with loads of features and with all the different holes and plates that come with it, plenty of different configurations. It a very well designed stove. The food looked and sounded amazing mate.... very healthy. I'm glad you like the ferro rod holder brother :) Thank you for the shout out!! Good to see you :) All the best, Mark :)
Good morning my friend! It was fun to get out the camera, it's been a while! I hope to be out more soon, possibly a trip video. Take care Mark and it was nice to hear from you. Cheers, Wade
That was an awesome video!!! I really enjoyed how you demonstrated so many features of the stove, great presentation and a very tasty looking meal. Yeah, I'll be getting one of those master sets. Thanks for another well made video and for sharing.
Missed your videos! Great review. I’ve been considering adding the FireBox to my canoe kit and you just pushed me over the edge. I’ll follow the link..... CHEERS
Thanks for the kind words, there should be more content on the channel soon! I think the Firebox is perfect for a canoe kit, well done. Gary at Boreal Ventures will treat you right brother! Cheers, Wade.
Mm, shiny, wish mine still looked like that! It is a bit weighty but i can live with that, throws a fair amount of heat out as well just for warming yourself up in the winter Have to say, the OK4 is a cracking little knife as well, have beat the snot out of mine over the last couple of years and it just comes back for more, throws showers of sparks as well The weight from the stove is negated a bit if you take the OK4 as well as its so light Great vid Wade
Hey Andy thanks for the great comment, I totally agree. I'm very pleased with this OK4 it's a beast at a fair price👍. I'm looking forward to blackening up this stove lol! Take care brother!
Very thorough review Wade. I have been fortunate to acquire a number of stick stoves and have yet to find one that is more versatile than the Firebox Gen2. The only con is the weight but it is forgivable when you discover the stove's performance. Thanks for sharing
Hi Mark, nice to hear from you! You're right, it's a bit heavy but worth the weight sometimes. I wouldn't carry it on a 20k hike but it has its place for sure. Keep up the great vids brother! Wade
I still have one of the first gen Folding Firebox Stoves -- still works just fine. Multi use item -- I also use it as a charcoal starter chimney when grilling at home or at a "real" campsite (as opposed to some spot I just walked in to).
You're very welcome! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. If you decide to buy one the checkout code WW-10 at Boreal Ventures can save you a bit of money. Take care, Wade
Hi there great video I’ve been looking for a new fire box for ages , looks like I’ve found one thanks to your video great job very informative been with you for a few years now really enjoy your channel don’t stop keep up the great work from the London England regards Ahmed..🤗
Thanks Mark I appreciate you watching and for the great comment! I've met many people from Germany in Algonquin Park over the years, it seems a popular spot to vacation. Always a pleasure my friend.👊
Without Doubt, the best functional review ive seen of this fire box, well explained, Well demonstrated and Very Well Done Wade...but if i spend another penny on gear this year my wife will hang me out to dry LOL, Great vid Wade as always , regards Matt
Wade, let me tell you man, I frickn love your videos man! Every time I watch your videos, it seems it’s exactly when I was asking myself a question about your subject! Let me tell you, your videos portray you having as having the life I envision myself in, “in the perfect world!”, that is!
Thank you my friend I'm glad you enjoy the videos. I try to get out once a week or so and share my experiences with you all. Get out whenever you can bud, it's always worth it!👊🌲🍻🔥
Fantastic video. Thank you. Just ordered from Gary. Too bad I missed your discount code. No biggie. All the best from Ottawa. You have a new subscriber!
I have both the 5 inch and the Nano and really like them both for different reasons. I would also advise that you get the Coffey Spit that was designed to use with this stove!
Great review Wade. I’ve had my G2 FireBox Stove since June 2016 and it’s still my favourite. Still remember the first burn 🔥. I use it a lot in the backyard using lump charcoal. I can say this is one of the best reviews out there, you definitely did your homework before making this.
Thanks for watching! I used 2 knives first was a Hultafors OK4 and second was a SAK Farmer. I did a review of the Hultafors here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--RbnnHzd9aA.html
Wade i was wondering about you. I figured you have been busy like I have been. You are becoming the Firebox cooking expert i think...i remember when you bought the Nano. Have fun in the Adirondacks and take PLENTY of video!!! Stan
I purchased the Firebox Stove Gen 2 that you just demoed. I new I had to have it but after seeing your video, I can't wait to try it out. Great video, thanks for putting it out. By the way, I just checked my supplier Fiddleback in Georgia and they are already sold out.
Hello woods walker how are you when I saw this video I had to get a new firebox love them here are a few other ways to use the stove I hope I can post them. It would not let me but the photo I have shows the stove being used ad an oven with a zebra Billy can. Put the 4 stakes horizontal from the Boston of the stove to the top and it holds the Billy can in place. Thank you again for the video I plan on using my stove ASAP.
Hello there buddy! I'm doing well, glad to see you're enjoying the Firebox Stove! I will have to try that one, perhaps some baked bannock😉! Thanks Wade
It’s a cold handle Carbon steel pan. There are a few brands out there most of them out of production, this is from Bromwell. If you check eBay or antique shops you may find them. Thanks for watching, enjoy that stove👍
I sure enjoyed your review, I recently ordered a Firebox. I especially like the semi camp fire aspect of the stove as we have frequent fire restrictions in my neck of the woods, or should I say desert. The only negative I have found is the weight of the stove. It may only be 2lbs but I swear, it feels like 5lbs. Otherwise it's perfection! Thanks again for the video!
Thanks for watching, I love these skillets you will see them on many of my videos, it's a Bromwell stamped steel pan . Thanks for watching and here is a link to another vid.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-65Bfwy8X4oo.html
Good question...it cools pretty quickly actually. By the time you drink your coffee or eat your breakfast the stove will have cooled. Thanks for watching!
Hi Wade, thanks for making great videos I enjoy your channel and the review on the Firebox. I’ve been thinking of getting one. I like the versatility that it offers, plus having the trangia burner . What kind of frying pan do you use? Thanks, Jeff
Thanks very much! You will love the Firebox. I'm actually thinking of getting a Trangia gas burner myself to compliment it. As far as pans go I use a Bromwell Frying pan which are difficult to find. Lately I've been using the Firebox Ultra Cook Kit almost exclusively and love it. I did a review on both of these pieces of kit if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much! I just received the Hultafors knife recently so I haven't used it much. It seems great though, very robust, comfortable grip and the perfect size for most tasks. I'll likely do a review on it after further testing. Thanks for watching my friend. Wade
Got at least my own Fire box stove and your video was great to help me to find out what i can do with this nice oven! Thanks a lot for your work! p.s. what ist this nice frying pan called? looks pretty lightweight but got enough space for a nice meal :-) Atb to you and thanks for sharing :-)
Thanks so much for your kind comments. These frying pans are tough to find. They are called a cold handle steel pan or some people call them Cowboy Pans. Keep your eye on yard sales and second hand stores, you might find one👍
