I meet Jimmy sitting alone, at one of those bars, on New Orleans, on Boubon St. It was at the Absinthe House. He is very friendly and extremely nice. Yeah, this bar is modeled after a honky tonks in south Louisiana.
Hola Sassy and my buddy Hank! So many good songs from The Firm. Paul Rogers joined Jimmy for the ARMS concert in 1983 when Jimmy was really messed up on heroine and soon after they got the ball rolling with The Firm. I truly believe that Rogers saved Jimmy's life. I'll never forget the first tour concert I was at in New Haven, CT, if anyone was there they will remember this. We were sitting 6th row on the floor on Jimmy's side ( he always stays to the right) when this idiot in front of us threw an M-80 on the stage at Jimmy's feet and it went off. Myself, my friends and others in the area beat the living crap out of the kid and his buddy. Security finally came and took them away. Jimmy didn't miss a beat, he kept playing. I am not a violent person but felt good about that one.
Wow, what a story Dave, Nothing like that happened when I saw them at the Garden. I saw the Stones at the Hartford Civic Center. I think it's the same place you're talking about? Also, I'll make sure not to blow any fireworks near you, I don't want you kicking my ass.😁
@@humbertofarias5980 I live 15 minutes south of Hartford Hank. New Haven Colosseum is 30 minutes south of Hartford on the shore . I've been to many concerts at the Hartford Civic Center back in the day. Probably the same one you were at. Was it the Steel Wheels Tour? Sadly both the Colosseum and Civic Center no longer exist. I was at the '85 show at The Garden too. Damn! We could have sat next to each other! So you must be from my area. I grew in in Fairfield, CT not far from New York.
We're musical brothers Dave, I saw the Stones in Hartford in 81', The Tattoo You tour. (One of my favorite Stones albums along with Sticky Fingers) I was on the floor for The Firm in 85 and who knows, maybe we crossed paths. I grew up in Rockaway Queens, 30 minutes from The City.
Brother-in-law Hank another good firm tune is part of Jimmy Page's swan song Midnight Moonlight Lady. Also a great cover of Otis Redding These Arms of Mine with Paul Roger, Jimmy Page, Ron Woods and Charlie Watts.
Great pick guys I agree Paul Rogers has the perfect rock voice you pulled out another one Hank how about the power station with Robert Palmer another great voice and really good songs you know what I'm talking about ☮️
