Relationship with breeder is key. Help, advice, guidance - so comforting
Don’t overthink the situation. Keep the routine and set up as practical and simple as possible
Set your dog up for success from day 1. What they learn first they learn best
Be prepared. Takes a lot of time, patience and persistence but you should be working towards a goal for the perfect companion in the future
Have fun! You don’t want to look back and all you can remember is your consistent worry and stress

I have one too, she's five, and for the first two years they are destructive when they get bored. Constant redirection with chew toys is a must. They are seriously energetic, so good long walk are a must. I made my crate a save haven for my Mini Bull Terrier so she can always relax in it if she wants to. She started to calm down after 3 years. I got her down to a lot of back yard time when the weather is inclement, so we can go for walks occasionally now. Actually she decides her backyard time now, so we can hang out for a couple of hours or when it's cold or wet, 15 min. She signals by sitting in front of the door that she wants to come in. If she wants to go out, I trained her to use a rope of bells hanging on the back door knob. She knocks it by head butting it to the side. Depending on how forceful she is you can tell the urgency. Hard and vigorous means "I need to go out, NOW", medium is like "hey, can I go out", soft is "I want some attention, food or snack." Very smart and STUBBORN dogs.

The bull Terrier is an awesome breed. Sooo cute . I have a brown and white girl. My second one. We can be grateful to James Hinks for developing this breed in the 1800s.

Would you like pullets everyday? No! Being a dog owner, think about what you like and not like. Give your dog changes in food. Or you will squeeze the life out of it of no excitement and love.

The best medicine for separation anxiety is to put your puppy in bed with you. I never had any problems with my dogs 😂

🆘️👉He should have a bed next to your bed as you are his parents now. I HATE CAGES! As they are great watch dogs, let him do his job too. Locked up in a cage is destroying his dog senses. Would you like to be in a cage away from your mum on the first night. Pee and poo will be a yes, but training starts first, "ON THE PAPER!" First then he learns the words OUT-SIDE! These dogs are needing LOVE! I would NOT give the pup raw meat either, not yet! Bacteria is in raw meat, cook it! Have him drink the juices too.✔ He's a pup! Peanut butter is a no no! Look that up. Cut up some apple and carrot into tiny pieces as a snack. I've had 4 of these English Bull Terriers. I hope this helps.👋💝

Hi, this is a month late, but I felt like I should jump in to say that crate training is actually encouraged for most dogs. I’m a Vet Tech student, and many Veterinarians/Vet Techs/Trainers recommend crate training. The crates should be the size fit for the dog, obviously don’t shove a large breed dog into a medium sized crate. A crate allows for a safe-space for the dog (NOT locking them in there all day) especially in busy homes, for example if you have young kids. If there’s an emergency, it’s easier to get your dog into a crate if they’re already crate trained, but also after surgeries and such, the dog may be on crate rest, so they can’t be stressed out in a crate. Transporting your dog as well, especially the smaller ones, means crates are necessary. No hate!! I just wanted to offer my thoughts and opinions on this. Most dog owners I know personally only used crate training at night for puppies because it means messes will be contained and they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. The crate means bedtime, or time to settle down. I’ve never had a Bull Terrier before, but this is general advice for all breeds 😊
