Since i saw nobody doing the KDA of the campaign in the comments guess I,the new viewer, will take on that responisbility. There will be a Campaign total KDA and battle KDA. Executed prisoners will count into KDA,released or ransomed will not.Surviving soldiers of an army that got disbanded because more than the 85% of the army got killed will not be counted. Episode KDA and Campaign KDA will be calculated by total number of soldiers lost and enemies killed, not by adding all Battle KDA's and dividing it by number of battles So here are the stats for episode 1: Battle of Erui: Soldiers lost-3 Enemies Killed-839(7 prisoners executed i guess, maybe Izzy cut out the execution part) Battle KDA:279.67 Battle of the Field of Celebrant: Soldiers lost-1 Enemies Killed-495(10 prisoners executed, Izzy left a glimpse of execution) Battle KDA:495 Siege of Edracharn:Soldiers lost-50 Enemies Killed-893(46 prisoners executed) Battle KDA:17.86 Ride of the shadow Knights:Soldiers lost-114 Enemies Killed-564(42 prisoners executed) Battle KDA:4.95 Episode 1:Soldiers lost-168 Enemies Killed-2737(105 prisoners executed) Episode KDA:16.29 From episode 2 and forward i will include Campaign KDA, Best battle KDA(through the whole campaign) and Best episode KDA .
@@IzzyTotalWar Wow. I didn't expect to get noticed on the first episode. Thanks Izzy(wrong Language btw, but thanks for the extra step. In Serbia we use cyrillic too).
I’m so excited to see this series! Galadriel and Celeborn are supposed to be among the oldest and most powerful beings left in the world, and I can’t wait to see them act like it
Something I found particularly useful when playing as the Elven factions is the garrison building that spawns the free defenders, as elves take forever to recruit and replenish.
AGO removes the defender garrison units for the player. Was too convenient as cheap throw away units. As of now, armories are a cheap way to get more free upkeep slots en masse
AGO doesnt have free defenders though making that building much less useful. I love that in DAC, I always try to upgrade it the whole way makes the settlement almost impossible to lose.
back after a hiatus from watching vids due to work and a brief hospital stay (all is well, the doc took my gall bladder) :). Merry Christmas Izzy and look forward to this campaign very much. Toddzerker!
44:55 When you clear out Mirkwood and form the union, you'll be able to get roads in every heavily forested region you wouldn't be able to normally (essentially all of Mirkwood and Caras G.)
Izzy if you want some advice(not that you need it) trying to take Dol Guldor by turn 30 is very important since by around then Isengard will start coming north and it is hard to hold against both. Giving some settlements to Dorwinion can be a good idea since they will take Rhun out with help; when you confederate the woodland elves you can retake Anduin vale and Erebor settlements and trade them for Mirkwood ones you may want. The place with the jewelmakers guild for the HE gives you Noldar plate but only in that region and nothing tells you to go there. Your general powers are extremely strong and can be used to really pack above your army strength. Isengard is the only place to train ents and they take forever to replenish.
You also have three great chokepoints to keep your enemies in bay (and those bow). Problem is that is VERY expensive to have to use. I normally need to do that when they are calling campaigns against my capital...
Haldir and the Marchwardens (sounds like an elf band): I think they originally gave him Marchwardens back in v3 or something, but he was a bit meh general (bodyguard unit) as the result, so he got boosted up. I think his brother, Rumil, will spawn in later with a bodyguard Marchwardens, if I recall Saph's playthrough correctly.
I think they should have just made the Marchwardens more powerful late game unit. I mean they are the guys who defend the borders against all invasions They should be a rare OP ambush unit. Still I love the marchwarden unit as it is now.
If you’re interested in another goal while fighting Mordor then maybe set your sights on Edhellond. Idk if Edhellond starts out owned by rebels or Dol Amroth, but it would be cool to claim it in memory of the Last King of Lorien, Amroth! We shall see “Amroth’s Haven” restored! Would be a nice goal if you’re doing a long campaign. Heading down the Anduin would be the path to Edhellond. We could see Sylvan elves work their way down both sides of the Anduin, claiming both Fangorn and Ithilien along the way. Then claiming the harbor of Edhellond. Are you able to restore it in AGO? Obviously, if either of these are controlled by Rohan, Gondor, or Dol Amroth then I’d say hard pass or maybe just buy them out.
Hello, mate. Very nice start, where you took the key towns, Erui and Edraicharn. The latter must be kept at all costs, as it is the only Castle you have, where your military infrastructure will evolve. The red circle indicates where the Spiders are, as you guessed. I very much look froward for the battle against Khamul, but I would prefer this random Orc captain to get involved too, so as to be utterly destroyed and clear the road to Dol Guldur. As Anarion Elendili said below, Rumil and Orophin spawn with Lorien Marchwardens as their bodyguard, but Haldir was changed to Galadhrim Archers because, as a starting general, he was a bad general to keep. Plus that if he's teamed up with Celeborn, they form a very strong duet, vital for a successful start in one of the most difficult starts of the game. You are doing very well to go straight to Dol Guldur early in the game, because this will trigger the spawning of Rumil by turn 30 and it will break the Orcs in a very good manner. Even if you sack it, by destroying every building when the reclamation doomstack spawns, you will strike a good blow to Khamul's ability to sustain the war. Of course, I know that I voted for Enedwaith at first, but after a special request in Discord, I promised a story. Here it is, the first episode of it, which I hope to have a lot of episodes and see the Union of Yavanna realising, as we ddin't in Saph's channel: Galadriel was very uneasy in her room, walking up and down anxious as Celeborn was wearing his armour with the help of her handmaidens. "Do take care, my husband", she said. "I'm always worried about your safety". "I will", he replied. "Do as I have commanded, because the administration of the whole realm falls in your shoulders". "I have ruled for many centuries to know at least the basics", Galadriel laughed. "You were always a good teacher. But I'm not worried about you, but Altariel. She's a bit unstable after she returned from Mordor. I have days to see her". "Do believe me", Celeborn argued in clamness. "I know her better than you, as she has your spirit. She's OK and she is always prepared for battle. Like you before we got married". "But Mordor has left scars on her", Galadriel said. "And of course I'm worried, that mission was too much for her". "I don't think so", Celeborn argued again. "And Elrond is confident too. She's young, for sure, she hasn't seen the expedition of the Last Alliance, but she's the one who was sent in Mordor and she was the one who found almost all the stories of the Nazgul. She'll be OK. And she is a potent fighter, having been taught by Glorfindel himself". "Anyway", Galadriel said. "She can come with you, if she wants. But have an eye on her". "Of course", Celeborn said as he grabbed his weapons and stepped out of the room. The first orders were to secure the realm by claiming Erui and Edraicharn and Altariel was besides Celeborn all the time. Haldir was with them along all the way, as she proved a very potent archer, claiming shots in very long distances. During the battle of Edraicharn, though she was left alone among five Orc Raiders, when she was split by Celeborn as he pushed forward to kill the captain who ruled the town. "She's OK, do believe me", Haldir told to one of his companions when he ran by him worried of that. "She's more capable than me to put them down". And indeed, she was moving so fast between the Orcs, with her axe hitting the heads and splitting them in half. She evaded from the fight without even a scratch. "Well done, sister!", Haldir shouted. "Nice dance!". Altariel laughed a bit and she returned to the fight, appearing behind the cover of Celeborn's shield with her bow at hand. She was the one who killed that ugly Orc captain with an arrow straight in his left eye. "I know very few Elves that were benefitted by Mordor's ash, little girl", Celeborn teased her after the fight. "You fought well". Altariel laughed as she combed her black long hair. "Thanks, granpa. But Mordor is never beneficial to anyone". "Your grandmother is worrying about you", Celeborn said. "Is there anything you need to tell me?". Her black eyes proved to be a black hole as Celeborn stared into her. "I made a bit of studying after I came back", she said. "I also exchanged some news with Nurwe of Dorwinion and also some of the veterans of Elrond's company. You knew that one of the Ringmakers was Artanis the Silver? It is said that she made Nenya". "I know it very well", Celeborn said. "She was a great crafter and her loss in the battle at the stairs of Gwaith-i-Mirdain was terrible. She gave her life so that we can keep the Elven Rings away from Sauron. Your axe belonged to her". "I know", Altariel said. "Elrond sent it to me when mother left to Valinor". "Are you ready for the next battle?", Celeborn asked her. "It's a big one...". "Granpa", Altariel said, "stop teasing me. You think I don't know the plan? I was the one who wrote these pages! Of course I know that we are about to bring Khamul down to the Underworld... I hope that you have some forces nearby, thogh, my spy says that Khamul also has a captain running from Dol Guldur". Of course Celeborn knew that she was the one who had wrote the plan, it was his order after all... "I learnt you how to write", he teased her and he received a good-will laugh from her as an answer.
Hello Izzy! Here just after your Rhun campaign. Looking forward to this fine adventure! And yes there will be a story. Journal of Aredhel; My name is Aredhel. My father is a counselor and member of Lod Celeborn's battle guard. My mother is a lady in waiting for Lady Galadrial. I was born during the Third Age and lived my entire life in Lorien. I love to ride and hunt in the forest. However, the world has changed. My father forbade me to leave the golden wood. He tearfully said goodbye to myself and my mother. I realized we entered a new age of war. At first the battles this week were dealing with bandits and brigands. But last week I heard how we had contact with Dul Guldur.
You can get 200 coins for every region u hold when selling map and if they rejected first offer they'll reject second one unless u give them sth for example money (smalles amount they'll accept is 100)
I've been so hyped for this campaign even before the poll even began and I'm so happy it's finally here. Thanks for an amazing Rhûn-campaign - let's hope this one is even better!
I'd hope it would be an Anduin Campaign, especially since the changes in V5 of DaC, but Lothlorien is an awesome faction as well! Personally I always try to build 1. Builder's Hall 2. Hall of Songs, just to decrease the cost of buildings, and get the generals free from upkeep, which is imo the easiest way to save money (and earn that way) + town centre-line give also some public order by law if I was correct. But overall, looking forward to the next episode!
it's always fun to see the beginning of a new campaign and the end of an old campaign I'm excited to see you the beginning of the new campaign and I can't wait to see the end of the old and as your Elven Steward I am ready 👍😄
Just wanted to say thanks for uploading these. They've inspired me to make the step out of my comfort zone and try Third Age after ruminating in Stainless Steel for a good four years. I thought SS was a pretty complex overhaul, but this is next level.
@@IzzyTotalWar Yes, it takes over the old "why didn't they fly the eagles to mount doom" and replaces it with... why didn't Celeborn walk the ring to mount doom on his own??
@@Jimbobiscuit Lore wise they actually explain it. Elrond says he was thinking about sending Glorfindel (the guy who killed a Balrog in single combat) instead of pippin or merry but Gandalf said that would be pointless because if they ended up needed a great fighter they were screwed anyway(more or less) I love how all the plot holes are really just not knowing all the details, even the eagles. I mean when the eagle first saves Gandalf he says I can carry you but not that far.
I don't know what the hell is going on, but if I see anything related to lord of the rings and it's lore I click anyway coz you know it's gonna be awesome!! New subscriber btw. And one last thing, Izzy is it you that's narrating the intros and all, if so, you are absolutely amazing.
Hey Izzy! Jenny had an urge to look into your elves series! I wonder why since she started reading about the elves in “The Hobbit” now! Much love to you all!❤❤
Beautiful christmas present Izzy! I've been waiting since your mordor campaign or even longer for a Lothlorien campaign. Can't wait to see the arrows hail down from the sky!
If you want some advice on which building will give you the most money early on, Erui getting a Hall of Song would allow you to save the upkeep of the general stationed there, which is by far the most a single building can improve your economy early on.
Nice! Lorien campaign is really interesting given amount of vital choices to make. You did quite well - only nitpick would be to micromanage your governor training a little more with setting your taxes to very high whenever construction ends. I would advice against rushing DG. Killing DG isn't a problem. Killing DG in a manner that you are prepared for both Isengard and Mordor is. Take Dol Guldur itself before turn 30. Focus on economy and killing DG stacks in Achnod Iaun with archers. By turn 40 you will want to graduate from archer micro into regular faster gameplay. In base DAC Elven economy isn't great - you have one of worse farming incomes + your trade/mining bonuses are worse than Northmen/Dwarves. Additionally your starting area is barebone - if you don't get KD or Goblin Town your only asset is Anduin with your access to level 2 Ports but it is more of late game thing because of how much it costs as well as needing Large Towns to be able to construct them. You kinda get more longterm from Inn's + Cultural conversion buildings cause amazing ancillaries (Singer, Loremaster, Craftsmen). Lorien Governors are great at combating corruption (really easy to accumulate +Acumen on top of Dance Guild bonus) and reducing squalor (so with proper micromanaging you will be able to house more population). Generals have above average replenishment after battle (because of Marchwarden ancillary) and movement range (Lembas + Elven rope on top of all ambush related traits/ancillaries). I did 7-8 Lorien starts while experimenting in last months and some of them played till turn 60-70 before I abandoned them cause of lackluster results. But I finally nailed it and let me say it - it was worth it. Once you figure optimal strategy to stay ahead of curve, you really carry Middleearth by keeping Mordor at bay while pushing Isengard + later Dunland west and welcoming Dark's Lord Invasions on Caras Galadhon.
I play this faction quite a bit. The river running through your area is pretty much your best way to make money. I normally take advantage of some of the forts to your south, this could help keep your money easily and keep an eye on Isenguard if they feel froggy. I normally avoid using my generals in this faction, but that is partially because my own elves are usually more than enough and I hope to pick up extra generals for economy boosts. Pick up your elven mercenaries as soon as you can, the retrain is the biggest pain in your backside for the early game. Once you merge kingdoms that problem will pretty much be over. Being afraid of Isenguard is wise. YES your armies can curb stomp them with archers... but they can play numbers much better than you... and you do not have many armies to work with most of the times.
Can't wait to watch! 😊 Dol Guldur is a must settelemt me must conquer, lord Izzy. If we wish to free Mirkwood, restore our golden forest and save our people. - Besides our Queen is said to be able to destroy the evil and purge it away after the war of the rings. Kind regrads - Rohirrim adviser, Peter.
@@IzzyTotalWar Hey again pal, Been watching your vedios, but not feeling well with my grief but wanted to pop up and comment on your great vedio 😊 Hope you, Ms Izzy and your familie are doing great 🙏
A late Christmas gift... nice. Good luck and have fun. P.S.: For me, if the increase in trade/farm income is not that huge, I would invest in the first level of armor building... you get a flat 40 income, which is a quick income grab if you need it. They are cheap and they pay for themselves in just over 10 turns or something.
yeah but I think its too fast. I would rather it be every 5 turns for 1 minute. If you want to for example see how the Dunedain are doing you might not have time to really look, especially if there are a lot of pop-ups.
Lórien is one of the most difficult campaigns I've ever seen because you are surronded by enemies. Dol Guldur, the Gobbos and Mordor at your doorsteps, Isengard and Gundabad in the middle game. And since AGO "ressurrected" the Fangorn region from the Vanilla, Isengard can attack you through there, sooner rather than later, even way before Rohan dies (a thing that almost always happens, even in the DaC). Another thing that made Lórien even more difficult is the AGO "ressurrecting" the inner paths inside the Misty Mountains from the Vanilla Third Age that makes Khazad-Dum even more vulnerable to their attacks making them being destroyed very soon, despite the fact they are a hord faction.
Been loving your content for some time! Happy holidays and hope to see much more of you in the new year. Oh yeah, and you can build the hall of songs in Erui for a lot fo discount
So hyped for this campaign!!! Let's do this ma dude!! And merry christmas! (by the way, I'm Ricardo, I've finally figured out how to change my nickname in youtube XD)
Again a great start to a new campaign Izzy! I'm gonna start my own Lorièn campaign alongside yours! No way near your level of playing, so I'm curious as to how different my game will go from yours. :)
Hey Izzy hope you had a good Christmas would just like to say thank you for playing as my favourite faction that I have watched on here hope the series goes on for a while soon as I get this game the elves of lothlorien are coming to be my first playthrough
I’m very excited for this series! Take rochburg I think it is and you get ents, also in Isengard Edit idk if it’s rochburg but I mean the settlement in fangorn
@@IzzyTotalWar idk for 4.5 Gali days that he explained the ents in the woodland realm overview and there at 35:10 he says that the come from dance guild in rochburg
