the items are fucking stupid its clowny, if someone got battleaxe ill just run i wont even think of fighting it. at least drop an item that is fair and killable by other players who have not got it. battleaxe is too OP for that stage. then u add another OP item porcupine. adds more clown to the already clown game stop calling it as a tournament bec it looked like a circus than a tournament
Most of what he explains can be summed up in just a sentence "Different enemies have different weaknesses to certain damage types like blunt or slash" "The antler pickaxe is very important because it is the only way to start mining tin and copper for Bronze ingots" "We're going to see them destroy beehives and collect the queen bee so they can make their own honey, very useful tip for new players watching"
Especially in the beginning that was waaaay too much! People who watch this have played the game and know the basics. and as the other commenter here said, he could have summed up these points in one sentence each. It was especially unfortunate when Rich was just being super hyped about something hilarious or exciting that just happened and Asmongold actually interrupts him and extinguishes the hype for a boring lesson. Thanks for the knowledge drops and info, but let Rich finish and let the hype play out.

I think this event was so enjoyable to watch because of the casting. It was just two dudes having fun watching a game not two narrators doing play-by-play. I had some good laughs so thank you guys for putting that together! Looking forward to new twists and tweaks for sure.

If you watch a few speedrun videos, you're automatically better at the pve phase than most people engaged in this tournament. Sequisha had help from chat. I bet if some of them did not receive chat help, they would have performed worse.

You need the event to end fast, but at a reasonable time. We're not going to watch an 8 hour stream battle royale with players barely being at the iron age, going through dungeons to farm their gear.
I was hoping someone would mention this. The battle axe basically turned Klean's character into a one-star; then the Porcupine made him a two-star. Seems like the drops ruined what could have been a fair match.
As someone who’s just gotten into this game and been really enjoying it for about 50 hrs of total play, this was AWESOME! Would love to see more of these. The people you had were all fantastic. Hope to see some back and maybe more faces. A team of duos or four etc would be amazing, or even a capture the flag type game or team attack where they build their base etc for set time and have to take turn attacking. I would love that! Sounds good enough for the Dev’s to add a feature for something like this.
You could have objectives to grab on mountains, swamps or plains so that the players have to build/race to those objectives rather than running around trying to catch each other. Maybe have an item drop at a tougher location tor reach at least

Watched the entire VOD n loved it, you can really tell Asmon is passionate about this game and he is really informative even for me a person who doesn't play the game then Rich with his hype casting is a good combination keep it up OTK team love the events !
Should do another one of these where it's "team' based sort of and they get an X amount of time to build a base and the goal is to destroy the other teams base.. The winning team comes down to whichever base is demolished first..

this was dope!! feedback: the drops and the level of increase needs to be much more balanced. drop base weapons, then slows drop some armour. I understand the need to make it faster, but have to figure a more balanced way. If there are six played left, imo drop 3 good drops. So a pattern that offers a lot of dynamics like a tsunami. Hell, throw a lox meat or something on someone if they able to do something. So, have side objective. Like if you kill 2nd boss, you get 5 lox meat dropped in a way that benefits you --- but! is still potentially accessible to other players. This game and what is ideally avoided, the person that gets the marginally potent weapon has a huge advantage and can start a roll. That was a little disappointing, but overall was awesome and happy this is happening. Look forward toward more! Also, they need to buff trap damage. That should have been a kill. I think that would be reasonable. Imagine if they added dangerous puzzle and stuff like Path of Exile has. Use Viking lore and add a bunch of dope puzzles that added depth and loot at the end. That could potentially could remove the need for drop items. Alternatively to a single life, you could make it where you have to kill the other person with a flint weapon before you can do bronze before you can do iron, etc.

This was a great watch! Hopefully there is a next one when the lag issues can be fixed. I agree that next time the drops need to be materials and better food rather than weapons, and stronger drops earlier would help as well
This is amazing! Honestly though the more stuff to do and the more stable this game gets, and if more players could play in a server and even roleplay? This game will be awesome
that was awesome and a really good idea! I get it's the hunger games thus the drops, but would love to see the same type of tournament without the bad ass drops that pretty much hand the victory, or position drops so they're not always next to the same dude.

Normally, I can't sit through long videos as I get impatient and skip stuff....but I can't recall wanting to skip a single time here. Which is weird, since Valheim is pretty slow. The editing cut enough without cutting lots, and the casting was enjoyable. Well done.
@Corporate_Loser Yeah, I'm sure it's a big decision to make on an event like this. You want people to enjoy it and not leave too much dead space, but skipping caster conversations/game happenings at all in a game that's 95% preparation is also not so great. The drops were terrible. I get that you don't want to drop armor, that's a good idea, but a Frostner, or Draugr Fang, or a Fang Spear would have been a nice change instead of just everyone getting Porcupine. Frostner especially could be quite powerful in pvp instead of porcupine when no-one has a wolf fur cape.

Honestly this would be really cool and interesting if we could just clean up the lag a little. :D Also I really don't think it's fair to drop a porcupine - or even a battleaxe - into a fight where people have troll hide armor. The drops should be good but not so good that the person who gets them is overpowered to that extreme. I mean in the end they dropped multiple and it kinda worked out but for a bit there the fights were pretty unfair. Also I'm not sure I like having everyone with porcupines unless people also get shields. I don't think a bronze shield can really handle a porcupine and it sort of sucks if blocking is taken out of the equation.

Enjoyed seeing Klean at least use the Battle axe and not just throw it away. Battle axe is not my preferred weapon for sure, but I think most people that think it is absolute useless DONT know it has secondary attack, or think secondary attacks are useless lol For Battle axe, the secondary is really good and should be used as main, clearly designed to set up the main attacks which should be treated as secondary lol. So yeah, anyone just spamming the slow main combo and seeing the massive stamina drain will think it sucks, but need to rethink how to use it. The shield is op for any part of the game, but BA does provide a fun time for anyone that wants to change things up a bit and doesn't just avoid it because of the meme against it.

I've been having so much fun with this game and seeing people do stuff like this and seem genuinely excited about the game has me so pumped. the potential for this game is huge and I'm so eager to see what the future has in store

Moving to porcupine was a mistake...I understand you wanted to increase pvp dmg but that was to much of a leap. We already saw how effective the war axe was
Next tournament : Barrel Cart Race.. lay out a race route with pathing - put obstacles, and put traps. Do multiple "maps" like level 1 is medows level 2 is black forest, level 3 swamp, level 4 mountain, and level 5 Plains!

This game is leggit! What a gem. I genuinely want to log in and play the game. I didnt feel that hype since years.. just its optimized to crap. I rubberband like mad when i play, please awesome iron studios OPTIMISE IT LV U guys!
A lot of people were saying that a troll mines copper fine for first pick axe. But that'd take like, 26 copper. From personal experience, it takes about 3-5 min to get a troll to smack a copper vein enough times to produce 26 copper. If you're lucky, I imagine you'd have to take him to another vein to have enough. I would honestly just kill the deer boss real quick for the antlers, its so easy. Having extra picks, even of varying quality either way I find, is useful. Metal isn't able to be teleported, so fixing your gear on the go becomes difficult. Having spares, even worse tier pick axes, is useful.
Think the drop boxes were disappointing Shoulda dropped more interesting things like: Bronze pickaxe swamp key wolf cloak dragon tear Things that don't give you a combat advantage, but give you the key to get a combat advantage. Just being given a porcupine is a bit too powerful, and trying to even it out by just handing out more of them is a bit boring.
Just parry an arrow (stuns your opponment) run up and smack them. It's easy really, they are just greedy trying to kill with the bow. But a shield and sword/mace/axe you can kill anything easily. just parry and stun, ez win.
Ideas for next tournament. Map being black forest and swamp biome spawn with basic stone tools, or nothing if you want to give a big challenge lol. Chest spawn different not the same weps in pvp phase for more interesting gameplay. Gl hf. Otherwise great rules.
Honestly, I don't get why they use the bow so much. Perfect blocking is so broken. And you can even do it on arrows and catch up to them easily. Or am I missing something?

I hate watching fandy play its so triggering. She is decent at the game but she just does so much shit that is so pointless. Like im about to die but lets run towards mobs and spawners. I hate watching people play games ive played sometimes. xD
This was great. Couple of incorrect details by commentators like the Troll armor being a high level armor and 5 surtling cores for a forge etc. But really enjoyable to watch.
