BRINGS his bed into the kennel and be firm with him. Its no different than with a child who refuses to sleep. I realize he has been the only child but he has to learn that he has to share. Put i an iron stove , even a little one, it will make it cozier...lol...and you can warm coffee or and stew! / soup! . lol

an easy way to keep the doggos from trying to eat each other is to put a muzzle on BOTH of them and then let them work out their domination issues without the ability to bite. i had a hybrid timberwolf that wouldnt let my other dogs eat or drink... 2 weeks in a muzzle and they could eat and drink from the same bowls at the same time. of course, you give them both time off the muzzle alone for feeding and human affection. ill keep watching to see if you try it. best 20-30$ youlll ever spend

I used to live in Southern Arizona aka the lower desert and I understand on the taking forever on digging holes. It took me 2 months to dig a hole 3 ft x 3 ft x 4 ft deep. Caliche is a female dog. Now I live in the upper desert in northern Arizona and have lava rock to deal with. I'm waking up to 16 degrees and the other day I too forgot to put tools up and there was snow everywhere. Forecast didn't mention snow. What is the breed of your dogs. I just got #2 pups and Zorra one of the girls looks similar to yours. My pups mom is border collie and the dad is mastiff Shepard.

@angeliquerider-mitchell2538
Jim, I love you guys and wish only the best for you. But, how many more times is it going to take before you learn your lessons? Like, I don't understand why you took your panels down and exposed them to possibly being damaged and living with diminished output before your new structure was built? IT MAKES NO SENSE! And why would there ever be several power tools or bags of cement left out exposed? I can understand one tool you forgot to put away. But you've been living there for years now, no know how the weather can get. Plus you live 10' from where you work. Why wouldn't you run outside the second you hear the rain start to double check everything's put away? By this point in your life haven't you lived the old saying "... an ounce of prevention = #of cure..."? We've seen where trying to do things quickly and half cocked ends up taking longer, costing more and with inferior results. Sorry to tear you a new asshole but someone had to. In my opinion, you need to start developing some new habits for the end of your day to set you up for success the following day. Start with simple stuff like a place for everything and everything in it's place. And go from there. All this said I'm not perfect, I suffer from being organizationally challenged. For example, whenever I had appointments I'd note it down on any scrap of paper within arms reach - never to be seen again. Once I realized this was a real weakness of mine I didn't decide id try real hard to remember better. No, now no matter how much of a hurry I may be in I stop, open the calendar on my phone and put that complete info in there. I haven't missed an appointment since. It's a small structural change that made a huge difference in my life, including my reputation. I'm no longer the unreliable flake. That's just one example. Also anticipating all the potential issues like javalena running over your panels and making adjustments accordingly. Best of luck.

Everyone is blaming Crew. He’s an old man and was the only dog for the longest time. When I look at his behavior around her, he is just curious. Every time they show a fight, it is Lluvia who starts it. She really went after Crew in this video. I agree with muzzles but she also needs to learn boundaries. Both breeds are dominant working dogs and it may never work out between them. Lluvia needs training!
@jeangurnee

When we brought home our puppy 8 years ago, the older dog was not having it. I had our son keep the dogs apart during the next day and called around to get a consult with a trainer when I got home from work. He had them sitting next to each other in 15 minutes from an all out dog fight at the beginning. Tension on our part, not being in charge of the situation on our part were the culprits. He had them sit next to each other with the focus on him only, not each other using first a firm "hey" to get attention then nice talking and treats. Within a week we had them sleeping together. Added a third dog three years later and I did the slow intro, managed the energy in the space and while there may be a spat from time to time related mostly to food, they are all buddies. It is do-able. You cannot just sit and watch. At least one adult has to be in charge. The training has to be incorporating both dogs.

Use the filter when using the bigger tanks. They have a oil in the propane that plugs up the heater. The hose reacts with the propane and breaks down. I know by experience. With the filter my heater has gave me 3 years with the same filter. But 2 previous heaters without the filter was destroyed.

So she came to get her collar and leash that part of the crazy was over She learned manners from her puppies.... Remember mean One night it was storming BAD so I went out to set with them under their shelter... I didn't believe it She crawled onto my lap and layer down There went the crazy wild mean dog... I'm in rain country and was told by a fence guy. He said that fence posts last longer if you put a couple handfuls of gravel in the bottom of he hole for drainage and no cement . Because cement doesn't seal in fact rain water gets trapped in between the cement and wood it rots out quicker than in dirt and gravel. And I have seen 100+ year old fences made in old growth cedar in dirt out here .

Dogs can adjust quickly, by themselves, but not with people around. They get confused about their job status, their pecking order. Left alone from the beginning, they would have found a natural balance. But Jim bonded with her, before Crew. So she has anxiety and confusion. Give it patience and time.

I have raised dogs since I was a child. First you should have kept them together for the night anyways and put up with a few problems so it gets resolved. They will never get along if not together. Most importantly put them both on a big long leash with knots in it to inconvenience their walking around and make it easy to catch them Next you really must get severe with them, do NOt beat the dogs but yank at their leash while yelling at them and put them back on their own bed. And tell them to stay. That is discipline they need to learn and need to learn to obey you and most importantly need to respect you and what you expect of them. Easier way to teach them boundaries from each other's is outside in wide open. You keep one dog close to you (not tied to anything except loose leashes with knots) and interfere every time they get into a fight. Eventually they will stop. Crew is a good respectful male to UV, he wasn't aggressive to UV, just curious. UV jumped him as most female would do, especially to a respectful male. Both could use some training. Whenever you walk them take the time to teach them (at first on a leash) to walk by you, stop, stay, come then let the dog go free to run around after a good session and praise the dog. Keep session very short and easy at first, you don't want the dog to fail training every time. You want the dog to love training and be proud and happy when done.

Nah. Sorry, but that's not what I saw, Jim. @14:50, Crew was minding his own business and circling to lay down and chill for the night, when Lluvia growled at him, then viciously attached him, while Crew was holding back and totally under Jessica's control. Yet, he was the one that was rejected by his own pack? Dudes... can you imagine how he felt, while wondering, "WTF did I do to deserve being treated like this, after all of these years? It was totally the bitch's fault. I was the victim of her attack, wasn't I? This will be the last time she'll ever pull that stunt on ole Crew. Then, I'll remind the pack of who the alpha dog is around here."
@jeangurnee

Lluvia is a guardian breed she will always go after Crew because Crew is a breed with strong prey instinct. He goes after cows horses and probably cats, chikens and other animals. Crew should have his place back to himself. Lluvia deserves to be a guardian dog of animals. It's her nature. It's cruel for both dogs to be in this situation. Pyrenees dogs are meant to be free guardians. My daughters works at an animal sanctuary. The dogs there are Pyrenees. They are with the goats sheep, horses ,donkeys ,cows, llamas alpacas and pigs day and night 24/7. They guard them. They are happy and very loving dogs. It's unnatural for Lluvia to be chained or made to sleep in a house or crated. This is all so unnecessary. No good reason for any of it at all.

Make sure you buy the filter for the propane line or you will ruin your Buddy Heater. They are not that expensive about 12 or 13 bucks at camping world.
@theducklinghomesteadandgar6639
According to Cesar Milan it is almost always the humans involved. You guys are tensed up expecting a fight between them and they pick up on it and they can’t just get to know each other on dog terms which is just as simple as people meeting , just saying hi, no expectations the other might cause harm just a simple hello which includes sniffing. Y’all probably aren’t even aware you’re feeling it half of the time, but you worry the second you even think about them getting within 10 feet of each other. If nothing else search for how Caesar helps when dogs are fighting and see if that helps some.

Try watching Beckman's dog training RU-vid videos. You'all know Cesar Milan and he is awesome, but Beckman's videos are nice because he kind of specializes in dog socialization videos of dog meet and greets and dogs with aggression issues or that simply lack socialization experiences. Cesar Milan is so good it is sometimes hard to figure out exactly what he is doing and Beckman is more human and there is lots of good dog interactions in his videos. It's still all about your energy and redirecting dog issues calmly.

I’ve never been fond of choker collars or anything like that for dogs. The alternative is what is called a gentle lead. It goes around the snout similar to a collar. The “correction” if you will when you pull on the leash the dogs face will be turned another direction. My dog is very aggressive towards other dogs but in almost one visit we went from having to be 20ft from another dog to within 5 ft just making corrections when he growled or snarled. It’s a very gentle way to work on that but you will need to start socializing them and correcting the behavior or it will never change

I would take them both on a walk, Lluvia first to tire her, then with Crew . At the slightest snarl, tell her firmly and loudly "bad", walk her back decisively, tie her up securely and proceed to play with/ fuss over Crew all in full view of her. Tell him "good" over and over. Teach her the word good separately with treats,games etc. She will get the hang of the words and want to be on the good, free side. I hope. If they get into it in the dome the aggressor gets crated and the "good" dog runs free.

maybe focus on getting those panels up and connected efficiently to the 60/150 MPPT. 150 VOC volts serial connect. if your panels are 365 watts that is 3 panels in series grouped by 5 in parallel or similar.

You might feel sick while working with concrete due to the activated, corrosive, water reactive nature of the cement dust. Don't get too close to the concrete when mixing it, use waterproof gloves, and a good air filter mask might help, but often the particles are so fine they go right through a mask. Otherwise, it might take a few days to recover your respiratory health.

When you brought in the mattress and laid down, we can completely relate to, we are homesteading in Elko county NV, and just moved into our cabin about a week ago. Man, sleeping in the 17 foot camper for almost two years sucks. Good luck with the puppies. We have a similar issue with ours too. Cheers 🥂

Derek Howlett would not be please with your choice of materials for your replacement Solar frame. I understand your reasoning but I think heavy equipment could have be found for your required deep post holes. I will be going off grid next year and will be starting my multiple challenges and I have resigned myself to using steel supports so my panels can handle 100 mph winds.

I feel like I'd get along with Jess very well. I'm the customer who will light people up to WATER THE DESPERATE PLANTS IN THEIR WAITING ROOM/LOBBY, or straight up go get some water and water them myself. I'm also the weird neighbor that people come home from work to find a note that says "I PUT YOUR PLANT IN MY SHED I'M SORRY NOT TO ASK BUT IT IS FREEZING WILL PUT IT BACK WHEN NOT FREEZING" XD and their plant is in my shed huddled around a lamp, possibly making friends with my plants. Nobody's been mad about it yet, thankfully! And since everyone knows I love them, they give them to me when they can't sort out what's wrong with them or when they're moving and don't want to take them. Free plants is a whole YAY! I just feel so sorry for them. A dog or a cat can at least move around and try to find shelter for themselves. Plants are at our mercy, and

Several aspects of vetiver make it an excellent erosion control plant in warmer climates. Vetiver's roots grow almost exclusively downward, 2-4 m (7-13 ft), which is deeper than some tree roots.[6] This makes vetiver an excellent stabilizing hedge for stream banks, terraces and rice paddies, and protects soil from sheet erosion. The roots bind to the soil, therefore it can not dislodge. Vetiver has been used to stabilize railway cuttings/embankments in geologically challenging situations in an attempt to prevent mudslides and rockfalls, such as the Konkan railway in western India. The plant also penetrates and loosens compacted soils.[6] Vetiver was advocated for erosion control in Thailand by the late King Bhumibol.
