Cox’s Bazar is a town on the southeast coast of Bangladesh. It’s known for its long, sandy beachfront, stretching from Sea Beach in the north to Kolatoli Beach in the south.
I joined some locals to check out the beach and have some snacks together.

I haven't seen anything to impress me at Cox's Bazar except that its less chaotic & much cleaner than Dhaka. But the length of Nani's beach is awesome and no litter. So nice of the two young men to accompany you. Some confusion there about the price of the food but the seller was well compensated by Davud's generosity, as always. I believe the next video will be more interesting. Thanks for showing us the beach Davud. 👋👍👍❤❤❤

The name Cox's Bazar is given by Britishers. Its previous name was Palangki but when Hiram Cox was appointment Director General of this area in 1773 by Lord Warren Hastings the place was renamed as Cox's Bazar.

It's not Cox Bazar but Cox's Bazar (pronounced as Coxes Bazar), named after an Englishman called Captain Hiram Cox

It's Cox's Bazar. Your pronunciation is not correct(and not sexy). The name Cox's Bazar originated from the name of a British East India Company officer, Captain Hiram Cox. England has counties called Essex, Sussex, and Middlesex Wessex. Example: East Seaxe = Essex-Seaxe, meaning Saxon.

From a neutral perspective it should be renamed , as far as I know Britishers and their company were robbers and were the reason behind the Great Bengal famine of the 16th Century which almost wiped out the entire Bengolis.

Rice puff is incorrect. It is Puffed rice or Muri in Bangla. It is made by roasting rice along with sand in a karhai (wok) over wood fire. The item you ate was Jhal muri- a street food. And the beach is Inani beach, not Nani beach. At Inani beach there is a five star hotel resort where there is a private beautiful beach (Royal Tulip Hotel and Resort). Other big hotels have also private beach and all these hotels have excellent food service with complementery sumptuous breakfast. Sayeman Hotel at Kolatoli beach is an excellent hotel.

120km or 90miles is the length of whole beach. Your companions are not so good in English, especially while explaining something,sorry for that! Cox's Bazaar is named after Mr. Cox who was the first administrative head in that place in the era of British colonists. The beach you travelled is Inani beach. The Cox's bazaar town's beach is Kolatoli beach with much more activities and facilities.
