The most beautiful motorcycle in the history of the world.

I rode a Superhawk from 1970 until I sold it in 1975. It was my first bike. I've owned various motorcycles including a 2001 GL1800, its first year in production. I must say the the 305 Superhawk was my greatest thrill. But I was 16 when I got that powerful beauty. Nice to watch this video.

I had a cb160 and the 305cc was a great big bike and supposedly a lot faster than the Harleys, Triumphs, and whomever I don’t remember. I got shipped out to Korea, sold the 160, after Korea, got an sl175, hit a bad spot in some dirt, spent 11 weeks in the hospital, ended my motorcycle days. Rode a cb200 for about a 1/2 mile, then hung up my helmet. But, I still want to ride, but, with this bad back and 79 y/o four wheels are now.

This motorcycle and the Ducati 250 Mach 1 were the default bikes of choice at my high school (YMCI) in the mid-60's. Didn't leak oil on our parents' driveways, could be easily maintained and tuned with a few simple hand tools, revved to 9,000 rpm and even the occaisional blown 2nd gear could be replaced easily. We liked to mount flat bars or clip-ons to improve rider dynamics. Plus it was fast enough to be genuinely fun to ride without being lethal. The double leading shoe front brake actually had some realistic stopping power - compare with the front brakes on contemporary British bikes. Hondas and Yamahas for the next 50 years for me.

My Dad bought a SuperHawk in 1963 and put Megaphone Mufflers and changed the Gearing a little and rode it for a daily driver when the Weather was nice. Being in California He rode it alot! I started riding it after He bought a 450 a few Yrs later! I rode it until 1967 when I bought a CL77 Scrambler that We converted to Flat track racing . I rode The CB77 until I was drafted in the Army 1970 I wish I still Had Both of these Bikes back!

When the Honda 50 first came to America they had billboards that showed a picture of one and a caption that said ''Our vehicle gets 200 MPG." It then explained that it had a 49cc 4 stroke engine and will get 200 miles per gallon on the highway! What happened??? Today a 50 cc motorbike diesn't get 100!!!

Nice bike but they had their faults too, the four speed transmission had a huge gap between 2nd and third gears plus was prone to missing 2nd.......the advance unit was inside the motor and was only rivited on so would eventually become loose......the charging system was inadequate being a battery maintenance system only......other than that they're awesome little bikes and fun to ride

The best motorcycle for its time that I ever owned. Probably the second-best ( to my BMW R 1200RS that I ever owned: and that is illustrious company.

absolutely! I keep pinging Honda on social media harassing them to make modernized versions of their 60's bikes. Nobody actually thinks the current 125's and 300cc starter "sport bikes" look good.

The 250 Yamaha YDS3 - the Honda 305 killer..... and then came the Suzuki X6 Hustler, even faster than the Yamaha. If you remember these, you're OLD !!

A passenger is probably more comfortable on this bike than most modern sport/naked bikes. Your knees aren't in your armpits.
