Being a fabric artist as well, this grabs my heart! Curious if you rough up the surface you sealed with medium to paint you acrylic “ paper pattern” cut out areas so paints adhere better? Txz jeanne

Gorgeous colours! You say you are going to put a layer of gloss medium over to protect the pastel lines. I am assuming this is a spray medium? As other wise the pastel would smudge? Love your work!

Hi Julie, As pastels don’t dry, you can spray the pastel lines with fixative. You can buy this at any art store. Or just very carefully paint a layer of gloss medium over them. Gloss medium is used to seal in any fabric or paper collage pieces too, helping to isolate the mixed media elements. Carrie.
