Another nice repair Allen, Although you had me going with the TV size as at the beginning you put the size up as UE40H6200 but said it was a 42” LOL Keep up the great work mate. Regards, Brian 👍👏🏴👍👏🏴
I've got the 6400 version of this TV and the backlights went blue within weeks of having it. But a DIY light change and it's back to how it was when I had it.
...Thanks for the video... ...Re lines on the screen...I have found that a few sets will come good if you put some packing under bezel that helps press the bonded flexible ribbon against the glass screen... ...For 4 years I have been using an LG with paper folded down to 1/2 postage stamp size tucked into a pressure sensitive spot I found by gentle pressing down on the lower edge of the screen. ...Lines come back when paper removed...Didn't have to open TV up to "fix"....YMMV
I only found your videos *after* replacing the backlights in my 8 year old dumb TV (it has dementia, it was sold as smart but sw support is nil and its like watching HAL9000 shutting down) Samsung UE48J5600 I must admit I broke a few of the old strip backlight contacts until I realised how to release them properly. I know now, but it might be a good video to show stuff like that? Not sure what to add to that, but a short video never hurt anyone
there must be thousands sent to the recycling centre every year just for small problem I have a ue55 curved still going strong I think its ten years now fingers crossed richer sounds are normally very understanding with customers especially if they know you will give them a shout out on the youtube completed by carer
Hi Al. Another great video. Those TVs were well built apart from the LEDs. The kitty obviously likes the warmth given off by the plasma. Brill, keep the vids coming 👍
Hi Allen i have a 32" sharp Aqous for years and love it, 3 hdmi , but recently i tripped over the lead on hdmi 3 which goes in the side and it stooped working so i use hdmi 2 arc for laptop movies and the other virgin media, which means my soundbar is unplugged , is this hdmi input fixable. I bought the similar but more modern sharp 32 tv off amazon recently and it was not as good as my old one from lidl in 2017 , the sound was rubbish so i sent it back which was loads of trouble as i don't have a smart phone or printer.so i wondered is that hdmi 3 at the side fixable , or can you recommend a tv , perhaps the next size up too like 43" . hope its not too much trouble. Thanks .from the dystopian Southend hellscape
There are all sorts of myths. Any screen cleaner is ok. IPA and water is best. The only damage is if you drip any excess liquid down to the circuit boards cofs so always use a liberal amount on one area rather than soaking the whole screen at once.
