To NOT have Damian being bourne from a jackal is a grave mistake. Its part of the whole mythology. I can for the love of me not understand why You would change the premise of that.
One or two posts on other first omen clips suggest that a jackal may indeed be involved in Damien's brith afterall!...let's hope so since I, just like all of us, want it to be a jackal so the continuity is respected.

DREADFUL. Not a horror movie at all. And not a good movie to boot. Nothing more than a few - emphasis on FEW - retreads of the original. And let’s get real - “Rosemary’s Baby” did birthing the devil so much better. Save your money - wait ‘til it streams.
