"Fine, I'll do it myself"- The Sonic fandom whenever they release something lackluster (Sonic Forces, Sonic 06 [I firmly believe that it would have been the Adventure 3 we always wanted if SEGA allowed Sonic Team to delay it to properly polish/finish it up]), straight up disappointing (Sonic Colors Ultimate, [going on to my tangent, it seriously a case of expecting nothing from someone, yet they still disappoint]), or simply not doing it (a more faithful port of Sonic Adventure [thankfully there's a modpack available that does just that] and a PC port of Sonic Unleashed [seriously the different projects of an Unleashed PC remake that are in development are amazing! Props to the different people that work on them])
@@gamingnubs7628 Not really, Sweet Mountain has the added bloom so it looks brighter than the original, including Planet Wisp & some locations of Aquarium Park
I don’t wanna sound like a typical Sonic fan and complain, but Sonic Colors Ultimate has got to be one of the laziest remasters I’ve seen in a while. I mean, cmon! No graphical adjustment features, you can’t even turn off the remixes for the songs, and the in game cutscenes are embarrassing to watch.
I mean the cutscenes were always embarrassing to watch tbh Also yeah i kinda wanna disagree with you on lazy part?? Good? No. Lazy? I dont think so. They had to do it all with nothing but a wii iso, on a new engine, and implement features that werent there before. Not an excuse but still Edit: on 4 platforms, one of which they dont do games for (switch cough)
krystl I think he’s talking about the graphics of the Wii cutscenes and the ultimate cutscenes because they’re out of place with the Beautiful/ugly graphics (depending on the person but if sure does look different)
@@slwoo7432 i disagree but im not op to know. I think theyre just listing stuff thats wrong with it as in "you cant do this, this sucks, this is bad, etc"
Honestly, why not just give players the option to adjust bloom, motion blur, and music in the base game? Most modern remasters have those player choice custimization options by default. But of course, profit before quality as always lmfao.
I don’t know how updates exactly work, like I know that they fix patches, but wouldn’t it be possible for them to possibly make an update to the game by adding options to adjust bloom, motion blur, and music?
@@geno_abish that is where ya wrong: modders already know what game engine runs on. all it takes is simply do reverse engineering to get source code (or maybe not...as most scripts are human readable xml files) and simply script the move
@@geno_abish It's always possible to eventually add to any game, given time and incentive. A great case of this happening is the Chaos boss battle mod for Sonic Forces. It's a not a matter of "possible" or "impossible," only "when." _Especially_ when it comes to the Sonic community.
god the boost is so much better without the motion blur and shockwave i played on switch and there were times when i was boosting where i got hit by stuff i couldn't see due to the blur
@@Person-mk7tk a glitch where the drill wisp would not damage the boss, so the achievement to beat the boss in less than 3 hits was impossible to achieve
I would love to see a mod that replaces the cutscene movie files with visually improved cutscenes remade. That, and a mod that replaces the intro music with the original. Luckily, the rest of the levels have the original soundtrack, so there's no longer a need to mod those.
Looking at this makes me realize just how many objects in the game are never really used outside of 2D sections... (And apparently still work well enough)
It would be really cool to see a mod of this game where both Acts of each stage are connected so it’s just one big stage, which actually was originally going to be the case.
Its that field where ken penders face appears in the grass but you hear bill ciphers laugh! 😆 By the way where's the explosion when that train hits the ground? lmfao I thought this was Sonic Shorts 5!
Honestly, I'm really hoping for the modding scene to take off better than Forces did. Not that Forces' modding community was bad, but there was only so much that could be done with its assets. Hopefully with the stage gimmicks and wisps Colors Ultimate offers, there will be a lot.
here's a mod i just thought of for sonic colours try and make the red wisp and the volet wisp a mod in the game how cool would that me? just something that came to me
I was wondering why the game suddenly looked better when going to tropical resort It seems that the environment is lit up in a way that makes it look like that
I hope someone revives the modding scene of this game by trying to make a version of this in Godot 4 or smtn, Godot 4 is a lot more stable for 3D games than 3 (which is the version of Godot SCU uses with some Hedgehog Engine code)
Is it me, or is the Tropical Resort act 1 theme sounds like the DS version, but better? Nah, it's probably the OG version, but it sounds so different.... Maybe hearing to much of the Remixes "mixed" me up from the OG version
