Creating wealth entails establishing positive routines, such as consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for sound investments. Financial management is a vital subject that many avoid, often leading to future regrets.
Indeed, currently I'm managing my finances wisely and being frugal. In the last 19 months, my investments grew by 43%, adding over $650K in profits. However, I've had losses in the past month, making me anxious. I'm unsure whether to sell everything or wait.
I always consult a financial advisor before investing. During the pandemic, I used their strategies to minimize risks and maximize profits, generating around $840k in two years with my advisor
@@ThomasChai05 I'm intrigued by the idea of investing with an analyst, it seems like a wise choice in today's market. Could you provide me with some guidance on how to get in touch ?
My advisor is *Camille Alicia Garcia* . You can easily find her online. She has a wealth of experience in the financial market gained over several years.
I just wanted to let you know that last tax year I managed to hit my ISA limit. When I did it I actually was gob smacked! This isn’t me gloating or trying to show off. Instead I wanted to thank you. Your videos have been so helpful and motivating and that’s the reason for my success. Your advice made saving become a habit rather than a burden. I am still working on my attitude towards money. I am a hoarder and I do punish myself for spending money on myself (even a cup of coffee), at least I know that I’m able to do something useful with my money rather than it just sat there in cash.
I think this is gonna be fantastic and popular. There is a huge gap to fill for UK financial interviews - I've been waiting for something like this so I can't be the only one.
Great content, life changing! Reading is not just enough". Take action! Put your new found knowledge to use. I read for a long time but Action made my life change in no time (generally and mostly financially) That's my two cents on this
Live below ur means, adjust your lifestyle, be frugal in spending don't buy unnecessary stuff, budget your spending and your debt, save, invest its a better way to grow wealth. Get a financial expert to help you
I recommend Rachel Blanc, her services has top notch for me, helped me create good financial plan and effective debt payment plan. I'm also growing a profitable passive income from my investments. I definitely recommend her!
Damien I’ve watched your RU-vid channel and really enjoyed everything. I wish you well with the podcasts this one was excellent. Keep up the Great work educating us all on our finances. I’m in my late 50’s and still learning and this episode was so relevant to what I’ve done in the past and what I do now.
Great video! Explanations were clear and concise, and I appreciate how you broke down complex financial concepts into easy-to-understand terms. Your tips and advice were practical and actionable. Keep up the great work!
OG damo fan over here for the first time. Looks like I’ve got a lot of RU-vid to catch up on now! Way to go damo. Hope to see Pete Matthew’s and James shack on the show at some point 🤙🏻
Damo your coaster stuck to the glass trick at 21:14 was the highlight for me, great job! (Don't feel awkward watching it back). Jokes aside another awesome video, loving the podcast series 😄👍🏾
Great first episode. On the bad debt and getting on top of your finances. My bank have started a service where they have a video call with me once a year and we go through everything. It was a bit scary the first time. But it’s amazing how much it helps keep you accountable for keeping on top of your money. Yes they are doing it to see if they can sell you a mortgage or home insurance. But it’s a really genuine discussion and I can’t see it being a bad thing for more banks to do this. It can only help people how aren’t good at saving or are in bad debt get good financial help before it’s too late.
I came over here from DTM, this is such an informative podcast and you are both great hosts. You’ve taught me so so much about my own personal financial situation and these videos are just brilliant; both entertaining and educational. Keep up the good work and keep these videos coming!
Absolutely fantastic discussion. This is the financial content that so many people need and I love that you're doing this, can't wait to hear future episodes and will be advising friends and family to watch/listen. Keep up the good work.
Great first episode. Digital banking brand which begins with M is a massive game changer for me. Never been better at managing my money. Setting aside pots for various life requirements. I no longer need to use credit or monthly payments.
A great first episode just like your main channel I believe it will be big and will help many people with there financial journey, Claer Barrett was also a great first guest.
Love it! I was just thinking about looking for people who can help me build a good mindset with money and here you are. Looking forward to more episodes!
I was a spendy Wendy but I have been trying to become more goblin. I am learning that rather than buy things to get that dopamine hit that goes away quickly to save for the future and spend on experiences and adventures that provide memories.
I LOVE this!!! ❤❤❤ I was terrified of money and investing for WAAAAYYYYYYY too long. I wish I had something like this when I was younger… I can relate to almost everything here, and I was sooo many of my friends to see this.. THANK YOU!
A beautiful and honestly constructed piece of work. Money should be dull and repetitive and boring and not the end that it has become. "money" is the means to achieve the ends. I think the ven diagram of personalities would be me, and I think it echoes what I said in terms of the ultra capitalist nature of the world; money has become overly influential in our spiritual and emotional wellbeing, as opposed to being a tool for boosting those very things.
Really enjoyed watching this, great person to have on the first podcast and explained everything perfectly. Makes me intrigued to read the book and also use the budgeting tools! Looking forward to more episodes! 🤩
Been watching your videos for about 7/8 months now, I know not as long as some people, but I think you are gonna go far damo. Keep up the good work, I enjoyed watching this
Loved this episode, especially since I'v watched you Damien from the beginning and got me into investing. Can't wait to see this podcast grow. I also love that you mention YNAB. It's the budgeting tool that changed my finances.
I spend a lot of time on the road and iv love podcasts, more so when it comes from one of my favourite RU-vidrs. Thank you Damo and Timeyin for putting this together. And for all the helpful links. 😊😊
Finally took the plunge getting stuck into this podcast series. 1 down. Very interesting, I will order her book.nice swan Damo. I will download them to listen to on the train going to work and as I am out and about. Noice swan bro
What a great interview. Started listening to Claers podcast a few weeks ago and she covers some very interesting topics. Was good to listen to her background and beliefs about money and some of the methods she uses to control her spending. Also great to hear that she uses Starling and the great “spaces” facility they have which is the modern version of “stuffing”!
I don't know what you were concerned about Damien I never watch anything longer than 20 mins but I was hooked. Managed the whole hog as they say. Long time fan keeping tuned for episode 2 👍
Great first podcast, looking forward to the next . Loved the real world real life approach with little or no jargon. Great to pick up new tips find out how to do what you do better or just have what your doing reaffirmed. Hope this helps people to the thing thats more important than any other and that's take the first step and make a start
Thanks Damo & 'T'. Thanks to Claer too. I found the discussion informative & entertaining. I subscribed and am looking forward to where the podcast leads. I'm now wondering what discussion will have 'T' hitting his panic button seeking clarity?
Damo I love all the interviews with financial authors you are doing 👍 I am shortlisting the books of the people I see you have on to buy them. When I have the budget for it of course 😂
I remember Bright House. I used to wonder how they were allowed ti get away with their ridiculous prices and interest rate hikes on equipmentsnninwas so happy when they ran out of business.
House prices etc have got so out of control......not by accident. The structure here (nothing is random), is for you (the mass mkt) to continue to buy property/homes at a high price, they WILL crash the market, you are left with a massive burden/high mortgage and or they will repossess your home, whilst "they" spring forwards with tremendous finacial wealth......and you (the mass mkt) are left well behind as always. Listen to the guys in this vid, though have a clear plan whilst realising there are no accidents and this is all so well structured and controlled.
I think the changing in money personalities often comes with circumstance as well. Damien you mention that 'only now do I feel I have balance', but is part of that not because you just have more money available to you than when you were in university and likely scraping by on student loans? I'm not saying there's not a very important part that comes with experience, self education and reflection but it's much, much easier to be in a balanced and healthy mindframe in terms of money when you actually have the freedom to diversify investments (or even consider them) and a chunk of cash savings for a rainy day.
