Definitely one of the coldest moments in the series, I stand by Arlong Park still being in the Top 5 Best Arcs to this very day. Awesome video, was worth the wait man
Eh, not really. The Walk to Arlong Park is one of the most, if not THE most iconic scene in all of anime, Nami's backstory is tearjerking and the closing scene with Genzo finally taking off his pinwheel and planting it on Bellemere's grave was absolutely iconic AND tearjerking as well, but the arc overall? Just average and kind of drawn out.
People forget how freaking insanely durable he is. He has completely shattered his skull on several occasions, and just bounces back within a few chapters/episodes
@@wolfman2.055 I agree, some things have to be repeated for everyone to understand them. I just don't want us to repeat too much of the same thing so we don't fail to repeat what has yet to be repeated. lol that sounds wild but yea
Ussop vs chow is honestly one of my favorite one piece moments of all time. I'll never forger this line... "USSOP HAMMER USSOP HAMMER rubber band USSOP HAMMER"
That’s basically the entire series up to wano. He’s either always crippled from fighting some of the strongest dudes in the last arc, or his enemy just wastes his time so he can’t go finish off the other people. Especially true pre-time skip. Bro was constantly half-dead even before starting his fights.
@@T0NI_that's dumb. and clearly untrue at all, how the hell he can beat crocodile and enel both are logia there no way his attack can reach them. and in enies lobby he is already half dead after fighting kaku
A fishman is on average ten times as strong as a normal human. Chu was one of Arlong's commanders along with Kuroobi and Hatchi, so he should be comparably stronger than normal fishman too. Usopp got punched in the face by a guy whose base stats are at minimum ten times higher than his and he got up.
@@3Rayfire if Oda *actually* let Usopp snipe people he would be a menace though. it seems like every time a serious situation breaks out, Usopp is in the *worst* possible position for his skillset. case in point being the situation he's in with Nami and Chopper in the manga right now (won't go too far into detail for spoilers sake) where he's front and center before one of the most dangerous people in the whole series. he's literally *smack dab* in front of them. it's just incredible to me how often the *sniper* of the Straw Hat crew is simply not allowed to snipe.
@@kitsunekage12 Well Usopp has two strong positions, first sniper posting and second psychological warfare. He's also good at opening a gap, but their current opponents....I don't think his sniping will be the difference maker outside of a critical distraction.
I was expecting this video to be on the litteral Pull Up as the "Overtaken" theme and the monologuing starts about the heroes on the way to beat up some fish people with the walking shot of those 4 that followed the whole Luffy gives his hat to Nami thing. THAT was the moment I knew I'd love this show. It was sooo awesome, the chills just thinking about it. That "Overtaken" theme is just too good
9:49-9:52 The fact this berleezy quote syncs so well with Usopp mouth flaps here is just amazing! I'm convinced this is what he says here as my headcannon!
At 0:35 the background music gave me such intense childhood flashbacks that I immediately had to go search up what Megaman 8 soundtrack it was. The starting stage beat goes hard
It's funny that in contrast after Marineford and the timeskip he doesnt even break a sweat until the last parts of Wano, just mows down his opponents every time.
Man I just started rereading one piece for the first time.. I genuinely think its so much better the second time, I kinda felt I was rushing too much the first time round to catch up, ironically it'll actually be way faster this time because I'm reading it compared to watching, but I'm on arlong Park after 2 days of reading, but because I'm not rushing and just trying to catch up I'm enjoying these early arcs even more than I did the first time, seeing haki in chapter 1 and then mihawk also using it early is crazy. And I think oda knew haki was gonna be a power, he may not have named it in chapter 1 but I think he always had this idea of a power currently way outta the main casts reach, like in chapter 1 shanks' eyes change completely when he stares down that sea king, up till that point and after everyone just has black dots but then shanks get that ring... and jimbei got mentioned as early as arlong Park, I didn't remember because I didn't know I had to remember the throwaway line about some random guy mentioned once, it's crazy the foreshadowing man
Fr tho, I never noticed usopp was so fast back then outrunning a Fishman and even chasing him down to wack him 😂. Bro may be weak but he's definitely not slow
