NASA is real, the ISS is real, probes have been sent to space, the moon landings are real, and astronauts are up there. we don't just believe this; and fortunately, we have everything to prove. you don't.

Not being able to swim in water... that I would miss... and yea..not being able to lie DOWN. No gravity would be weird. On the Big Bang Theory Howard asks Bernadette to drop a pencil ... just so he can watch it fall. We take so much for granted.
@TGears314
@TGears314 7 лет назад
It doesn't feel like your falling any more than it feels like your falling in an elevator. If everything around you is falling at the same speed, you don't notice or feel it. The sensation of falling is a combination of the fluid in your ears being adjusted by gravity pulling on it and the feeling of the air you move through. So if you and the air around you are moving together at the same speed, and there is no gravity to mess with the fluid in your ears, you won't be sensing a fall.
@ANGRYpooCHUCKER
@ANGRYpooCHUCKER 6 лет назад
Actually the station is in constant freefall, so although the air won't be rushing past you, you will be in zero G which is free-falling. It affects all the fluids in your body, including your blood, and your organs and such. It would still feel weird.

@@lorrie2878 I'm sure some expedition crews hang out more than others, but from what I've seen over the last decade, the cosmonauts & astronauts have great relationships. They often eat dinner together. They watched the Olympics together in 2016 & cheered for the other country's teams.
@Eskii_NZL
@Eskii_NZL 4 года назад
@@lorrie2878 bruh there is not enough space to segregate sections to specific individuals, once on the ISS you all share the space you got. But what you read probaby aint far from the truth but thats because astronauts and cosmonauts are extremely busy, they work every day in a confined space for months on end collecting data. The others on the ISS are the only human interaction they could get for months on end so why wouldnt they want to get along with eachother. You could say language barriers are a reasoning aswell but that wouldnt stop a lonely human to interact with other lonely humans in their space

Hope this helps; I got 128 / 500 in my HSC ( Australian Senior school exam ) They didn't have computers, they didn't have technical design subjects. I hated maths - got 30% .. DSo when I left, I went to a TAFE (I think you call it a College) which taught practical rather than theory. Instead of trigonometry ie heres a triangle with 2 angles, whats the third, I got asked to use trig to check if a crankshaft will allow the piston rod to clear the cylinder. I got 68% + in maths 6 months after the HSC. It taught me that you cannot stick everyone in the same chicken coup and expect the same results. Some people have a much better awareness of the Overall picture of things (ie see the whole jigsaw picture, not the pieces) and therefore less ability to see and worry about the details like what Capt Kelly said ADHD.. Once I found a place that fitted me, I spent 17 years in a Technical / Engineering Government sector and enjoyed it and was a valuable player. Jo hope you find your place. Get tested for VAK [Visual, Audio, Kinetic (touch)] out of 40 I was 2 Audio, 37 visual, 1 Kinetic. Shows what type of job I should have been in. Good luck.

You got to love both Mark and Scott Kelly. Mark Kelly On February 12, 2019, Mark Kelly announced that he would run as a Democrat in the 2020 United States Senate special election in Arizona. Marks brother, Scott Joseph Kelly (born February 21, 1964) is also an American engineer, retired astronaut, and naval aviator. Mark Edward Kelly is an American astronaut, engineer, and retired U.S. Navy captain. He is the author of multiple books as well as an aerospace executive and consultant, and is the Democratic nominee in the 2020 United States Senate election in Arizona.Kelly married U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords of Tucson, Arizona, on November 10, 2007, in a ceremony presided over by Rabbi Stephanie Aaron, and attended by his STS-124 shuttle crew and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich. Reich toasted: "To a bride who moves at a velocity that exceeds that of anyone else in Washington, and a groom who moves at a velocity that exceeds 17,000 miles per hour."] The couple met on a 2003 trip to China as part of a trade mission sponsored by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.In 1995, Kelly and his brother applied to NASA to become astronauts. He and Mark were selected to become astronaut candidates in April 1996; the first relatives to be selected in NASA history. In July 1996, Kelly moved to Houston, and began training in Astronaut Group 16 at the Johnson Space Center. On completion of training, he was assigned to work on the caution and warning system on board the International Space Station.

Great interview - great guy. Hopefully, most people will have a zero g space experience in the future. I'd love to try it. I've scuba dived and love the feeling under water. If we humans don't blow ourselves up first, great things await us. NASA sent the right man up into space with Captain Scott. He tells it like it is and seems like a .... pardon the expression... a down-to-Earth kinda guy lol. Addendum: I read the comments and saw that my 'clever' expression was used by many people.

#TrumpTheFascist Bigot - and clearly you must be poorly misinformed if you think late shows are one-way streets where agents can simply book their clients on any show they wish whenever they have something new coming out. It's obviously a two-way agreement and both sides win (CBS gets views/ad revenue). Similarly, CBS and Stephen won't have someone on who they think will hurt their reputation, or literally any other reason they might have. Regardless, what Eric said has nothing to with understanding the reason why media celebrities come on the show.

Vikas Chandrawanshi yeah and they're like the root cause of aging. Besides oxygen of course. I think it's amazing that cells need oxygen to live but it's also been proven that "freezing" a cell right before it dies by putting it in an oxygen free environment will suspend death indefinitely. At the moment the oxygen is added, the cell will burst effectively dying. This obviously isn't the same as immortality or anything and it certainly wouldn't work for any living creature but essentially, the process that causes a cell to die is triggered by oxygen

Thank you i dunno a lot but I needed someone to correct him on that
@raysills
@raysills 7 лет назад
For a good portion of Earth's history, oxygen was just a toxic element, emitted by blue-green algae, after processing the more predominant carbon dioxide. Then, evolution did it's magic, and creatures evolved that were able to use oxygen as a fuel source, which gave them an advantage, since oxygen reactions carry more energy... (witness fire, for example). So, most earth organisms need oxygen to carry on, but eventually it catches up with them. Individuals eventually die, but the adapted species lives on, until outside conditions change.
