I wish I could find someone like Vincent. This show is so beautiful. I only wish that they would continue the show WITH Catherine. Not many shows these days have the magic that this show had.
Absolutely totally in love with Vincent and Catherine to this day. Even more everyday it means so much to me Life is sometimes cruel and what took my sister 💔 I have now . This programme helps so much. Love ❤️
May 3. 2022 just received the DVDs for BATB...downloaded the piano sheet music. I love this series still..34 yrs later. Wish the actors could somehow all get back together and make a beautiful movie. We need Beauty and true love without filth in the cinema. Is there no one out there with a good imagination??

I really loved that show - very romantic - but it should have stopped when Linda Hamilton left. The chemistry between the two characters was what kept it going.
I just found out about that beautiful story a few weeks ago by accident. I didn’t know it before because I wasn’t born when it came on tv and I don’t know if it had ever been aired in my country. But luckily I got to know about it! It’s like a present for me. I think it’s important that story will never be forgotten. It has a special place in my heart.
my mom loved this show when I was a kid..she still does..me & my sisters wanted to marry vincent, lol. I loved this song then and hearing now brings back so many memories.
I've been enjoying the first season on DVD all over again. I have the sheet music for this song and have been trying to come up with my own arrangement on guitar. It's so beautiful. It's been a joy to watch the show again.

I imagine that in "Awakening", an imaginary edisode, which would be the one after episode after the last episode, Legacies, season 3, Catherine (or Vincent) would wake up, and say that it all had been a terrible nightmare, or warning, she decides to stay below while Vincent recovers from his ordeal and Catherine and Vincent continue on their path to fulfilling their dream of being together.
I love this series, fianlly I hear it will be on dvd at least season one to start .. thank goodness this is something to share with children and friends that missed this.

This was one of Ron's finest roles, aside from Hellboy and it's interesting that the Hellboy and the Vincent characters are so much alike, both full of humanity and both being down to earth (no pun intended) types of guys. The series was truly magical. I really think Guillermo del Toro would do a fine job of directing Ron in a movie version of B&B. What does everyone think of that idea?
as long is Catherine is back with Vincent they have 2 more kids and die together in old age (and they don't have to explain how Catherine came back the fanzines did that)
@allegropiano2000 There is tons of fan fiction on the internet that has alternate endings. There are also a lot of fan groups (one of which I am a member of) dedicated only to seasons one and two. We have some lively discussions regarding different scenes from the show and it is amazing all of the different interpretations we come up with!

Wonderful video, you did a great job choosing and meshing the scenes together. The ending cuts off suddenly though and the sound quality of the music file used is not the best. Still, it's a great video and I hope you make more like it.
Have you seen the atrocity of their "reimagining" of the series?! It's horrible! Shame on them. Thank goodness there's the original for people to continue loving. I was fortunate enough to speak with Ron Perlman at a convention and know what a thoughtful gentleman he is, well-spoken and grateful for his fans. The series was a big success at that time, and he told us how happy he was to be able to play Vincent.
This is not Catherine (Linda Hamilton) singing. The singer's name is Lisa Angelle. There is an episode where Linda does sing a song called "Catherine's Lullaby". This song (The First Time I Loved Forever) was written by Melanie. Some of you older fans of hers might remember her from "Brand New Key", "Lay Down Candles in the Rain" and "Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma"
I was a teen when this show aired, and while I never would have admitted it to anyone then, I never missed an episode. Was this flashback from the episode where Catherine died?
Umm first of all, Linda Hamilton left the show to be there for her newborn and she wanted to concentrate on her family life. Second of all, the reason they canceled the show is because the costs were immense, at a whopping 1million per show budget. To resort to name calling, especially a person you don't know, is ludicrous. I wouldn't even say that about anyone I did know. What's the purpose? It doesn't solve anything and it only creates a negative image of yourself.
Its really cool my dad and I r going thru it now and they bring in an investigator names Dianne. Vincent also has a huge revelation with one of the shows other main characters and its cool. when u c it it is almost as big as when Vincent killed Paracelsus
The white rose, she got from her mother, this she gave to Vincent at their first anniversary when she got the crystal necklace from him. I remember that she lost her crystal and Vincent found it and gave it back when they were shipping over the sea. But Vincent didn't loose the rose - I can't remember. In my memories, there's spooking a lady-bird, but I don't really know!?!?!

What episode was the scene at 1:19 from? I went through the series, but I can't find any with that scene. It looks like Catherine gave Vincent her ivory rose in a leather pouch. I don't remember Vincent ever losing it.
this singer soudns like that of southern sons. southern sons' "you were there" music video was insipired by this. years later, a musical was made featuring the hit song about beauty and the beast. both songs were meant for this story. too bad this doesn't ahve the voice over for the ee cummings poem.
i have mp3 version of this with citation of ee cumming in my pc it came from the love song compilation original audio cd i brought in hong kong and i rip to .mp3 so i could play anytime on my pc, but if you know how to use p2p wares you could download it. p2p like limewire.
