Lol this title speaks words for me! Through the years my dad hasn't shown love. It takes a lot for him to show emotion. It takes a lot for him to show approval. At the end of the day it's all a lesson in love and it made me a better person as I grew older! Phil's and my family are a dying breed! Bitter sweet just like the lesson above!

THIS was an AMAZING episode. Love how you guys really dove in on this subject - so many misconceptions about salvation and sin. You guys hit the nail on the head. If only the people outside of the church who look at Jesus as a "Set of rules and regulations" would truly gain understanding of this subject..... It is hard for any human to naturally fathom a being who will ALWAYS love and forgive... GREAT episode guys.

I agree with Jase. In my opinion, and years of studying Scripture.... the question shouldn't be can you loose your salvation, rather, were you saved to begin with "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

I personally believe that perspective causes each generation to accept the sins of the previous and therefore degenerate over time, moving further and further away from their Heavenly Father in order to play nice with their earthly father.

I like the clarity they offered: sin is lawlessness and God gave them over their depravity. But He always takes them back. This is so applicable to society today. There is no accountability but if we can just love like Jesus maybe hearts can be changed because with Jesus, it is NEVER too late!

In Mark 3:22-30 we're given the account of Jesus being accused of casting out demons by the spirit of Beelzebul, which the scribes claimed Jesus was possessed by. Jesus replies to them and tells them that the only sin that will not be forgiven people is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. In verse 30 we are given the reason/definition of what it is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. They were saying that the work Jesus was doing was by a demonic/unclean spirit, when in fact, it was the work done by the Holy Spirit. Thank you Mark for this clarification!

I think yall missed this.. I feel like someone can be on fire for Jesus saved whole 9 yards... but what happens when that guy gets the "Job" treatment from Satan but they don't remain loyal to God like Job did. This guy starts murdering and committing the unforgivable sin. You think God will let him into heaven when the guy dies in say a firefight ending his life? I think he would lose his salvation

I understand that but someone can absolutely be saved live for God and trust in Jesus and then turn their back and say he's not their God any longer knowing who Jesus is full and well but simply in turing away. Were they saved prior to the moment they turned their back? I'd say yes. And I'd also say they lost their salvation when they denounced Jesus after being saved one before. You trying to tell me people can be on fire for Jesus saved the whole 9 yards but the moment the denounce Jesus you claim they were never saved to begin with? That makes no sense and is insulting to people who are saved. How can you act as tho they were or were not ever saved it makes no sense. Point is you can be saved put your faith in Jesus and you can just as easily have your name erased from the book of life if you denounce Jesus after living in the faith. You can't just get saved and live a heathen life and say it's all good once saved always saved, thats just an excuse to live poor.

I think they were on fire for Jesus and the whole 9 yards for ulterior motives and so lived like they were saved but never actually were in their hearts. Why else would God warn us that there would be people who who claim to know God but who truly didn't? They mentioned it in the show, Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Jesus Christ changes who He saves. The old person dies and a new person is born by The Holy Spirit. Then being convicted by The Holy Spirit when you sin. Phil Robertson is a good example of Salvation through Jesus Christ. All who have been CHANGED are truly SAVED ✝️ 2nd Corinthians 5:7

If one IS truly saved! How does one know? I believe salvation is contingent on living a godly life. Only when we reach Heaven and meet the deeds we have done and undergo God's judgment will we find out conclusively. Why would there need to be a "Judgment Day" if we were already "saved"?

Mary Plaidy our salvation is NOT contingent on our deeds. It is only contingent on Jesus’ act of dying on the cross when he took OUR sins on his own shoulders and died in payments for our sins. So now if we’re trusting GODS word, we can know that JESUS IS GOD, and died in payment for our debt, we can know that Jesus’ righteousness is imputed on us and it covers our sin and God had said that he will no longer see our sin, but will see Jesus’ righteousness every time he looks at us as believers.

Mary Plaidy there are two judgements in the revelations. One is the judgement of evil done by the unbelievers and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess even those who don’t want to. Believers will willingly bow and confess him as savior and lord. The unbelievers will bow helplessly and unwillingly. They will recognize their rebellion and be speechless before him, without excuse. The judgement of believers will take place separately. It will be a time of sadness over our times of failure and will fullness and a time of rejoicing and reward for our obedience and trust. That time as far as I understand will be when we receive our crowns, which we will cast at Jesus’ feet

KittyF54 Agreed ma’am. We can know in our hearts now that we are saves only by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ...however I don’t think the Judgment Day will be a day of sadness for the saved. The blood of Jesus has erased ALL our sins. However we will be judged and our place in heaven will be determined by our good deeds on the Judgment Day. As the Bible explains that all though we will all be part of the kingdom in the kingdom some will be reigning with Him and will be closer to Him than others.

hello, beware brothers and sisters, once saved always saved is lie. You can loose your salvation if you fall back to your old ways and stick with it. If you keep refusing to repent and go back, even tho God calls all sinning christians back. It is up to all. If you stay in sin refuse to repent then you know....But as brother Jase said - this ultimate judgement is up to Christ saved or not. God bless y all.

I love these guys but I disagree with what they are saying about how it is possible for a true believer “born again” as we read in 1 Peter to lose their salvation. I think we would all agree that we didn’t gain salvation by any “work” (saved by faith), so are we able to lose it by works? The work Christ carried out on the cross was a “finished” work. He has paid the price for our sins past present and future, does that not mean All the sins of our life have been atoned for? At what point (if possible) does God let us go? Which sin is bad enough? I believe for the sinner who comes to Christ in faith, the moment the trust in him they are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption 😊 (Eph 4:30)

To be saved, have all your sins forgiven, and be given access to eternal life in heaven, you must BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ. He came, fulfilled the law, was perfect, sinless, and willingly laid down his life and shed his perfect blood, he died for YOUR sins, was buried and resurrected on the 3rd day, so that you, through faith in his blood, could have your sins washed away by his blood. God has offered the free gift of eternal life to anyone who believes in Jesus because "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV Eternal life is a free gift from God to anyone who believes. We're saved by God's grace through faith in HIS blood and HIS work. Not by our own works or efforts for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast" Obtaining eternal life is not a process. It is a right here, right now, free gift to anyone who believes. Today is the day of your salvation if you will believe on him. Put all your faith and trust in him and on what he did for you to be saved. Believe in your heart, and when you pray, call upon the only name the Bible says we can be saved by, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I think you walk a thin line when you say that salvation can be taken from you. I do however recognize that many claim the salvation of Jesus without really believing it. I truth is simple, we are human, and with or without the Holy Spirit you will fall to sin, however by the life as a whole of a human you should be able to see jesus if they where truly saved.

Wow, I spontaneously click this ep because it was a oh this I have to watch it has what I need. And well it really does I'm at the spot of fighting my old habits but the lie like I don't feel convicted so maybe but I m also like NO. No no it is also my responsibility to self control and also to remember everything the Lord has told me. Are sin where remove why would we do it again just because we don't feel the weight doesn't mean it an okay to do it. I must not rely on my own conviction but conviction of the holy spirit because my heart is blind by motivate of what I see and not the eternal life but this mind is set on doing something because it setting it self to look forward to that quick fix. I don't recall who I heard give this analogy but it has certainly stuck with me on the once saved issue. It's like you are in a boat with God. He will certainly not push you out of the boat. He also will not allow anyone else to put you out of the boat. He will however allow you to jump out of the boat. Albeit, sadly. And of course, He is always there to pull you back in the boat with open, loving arms!

You have free will!! You cant go and intentionally sin by bar hopping,drinking or any other immoral think and think it's ok due to you believe you are saved...God forgives you but you cant keep living the life you had before you got saved

When God turns the people over to a reprobate mind, He is permitting free will to reign just as with Adam and Eve. God is not going to force anyone to accept the free gift of redemption.

Nope. There’s no free will period - for the unsaved or those “turned over to a reprobate mind.” One leads to the other. Adam and Eve had free will which they lost and we inherited. Because of their choice, we’re all slaves to sin until we’re born again;resulting in us becoming like Adam and Eve ,before the fall, and when they had the freedom of choice(non enslavement) or free will.

@@jamespass4337 So how does a person get saved if there is no free will to decide? We have free will before and after we are saved. This is why people have CHOSEN TO sin even once they were saved...1 Peter 2v2 shows that salvation is a process of growth, so what ensnared us a 'babes' should not as seasoned disciples who assimilate His word into our lives. 'Once-saved' from what I have seen, lulls people into a sense of spiritual laziness and apathy towards the depths of God. These people do not always manifest Jesus' intervention in their daily lives and affairs while still going to church. If my situation is dire, I need a DELIVERER not misguided doctrine that will try to explain away my infinite expectations... 'faith' in Jesus. This is a man who has seen imminent death a few times and not of my doing but His intervention was miraculously set free BEFORE/AFTER BEING SAVED...

@@kingdom2472 If a person wants 'just salvation' ; they raise their hand at the altar call. But they miss the depth, breadth and infinite sense of experiencing GOD's FULLNESS. they will have no 'crowns' to offer at Jesus' RETURN. I call that lukewarm, I want to be thinking about and feeling Him at all times. I can't understand anyone who names Yeshua as their Saviour, getting drunk, angry or cheating in any way. THEN I repent when I sin with those sins I see I'm guilty of. WE all got a lot junk we need our Father to keep cleanin'! Glad the Lord is a FISHERMAN!

I wish they would do something different with their microphones.. I spend the whole show turning it up and down, up and down... because some are real loud and then some are real soft and I can't hear lol... might be how they talk in them, though. Cause it's usually Phil I can't hear

Such a great story on love, when I was young my mom was a single mom who raised us 3 siblings, she was out and drinking on weekends, she got saved one day and it totally changed her life and ours. One day she got us adult kids together and apologized about her behavior and told us she loved us. God is good🙏

Phils father was a hard man when you are a kid growing up and your dad never says I love you when you get to have your own kids its hard to say it yourself because you never felt that love

I was the opposite never had a dad and my mom said I love you for the first time when I was 16. My baby girl is 3 and I tell her I love you every day.

My moma grew up with parents that never showed love WHATSOEVER and she never really told me, I Love You, until I was older. I tell my kids and grandbabies that I love them all the time and praise them on how beautiful they are, smart etc...

Like I heard Charlie Garret say, " If God gave you the gift of salvation and knows your whole life from beginning to end He would have made a mistake if you gave it back. And if you have to do certain things to keep your salvation it would be works based. If we could do something to lose it, we would.

For years I worked road and bridge construction, rough men and women, and their attitude changed when I started to say 'I love you.' After awhile they started saying I love you. Disagreements would end by 'I love you.' I believe a calm loving sprit turned hard people into a group of respecting co-workers. Other people wanted to get in our group because they saw a great way of getting things done. I was an Engineering Inspector and with new jobs, contractors would see me and they were pleased and happy. They knew I was would expect perfection and my job was easier. Respect comes from the heart. "You can do the job 8 times or do the right job 1 time, which is cheaper?" Love the Lord.

Thank you so much for your clarification on falling away. I have had that debate several times even with my parents and this brought so much perspective.
