I just realized he and I both live in Kentucky. I'm about 1.5 hours away from Louisville. I did a Google search but can't find for sure, does he do visits, like let people come tour his fish?
This guy is goals. Awesome fish room setup, looks clean and organized. Those ponds are amazing. Three or four collection trips a year is insane!! Great video 👍🏻
I've had the privilege of seeing the fish house twice. Once on as part of ACA when it was in Louisville and once during a Louisville Tropical Fish Fanciers meeting (our local fish club). Very cool set up and a really nice guy.
Great video again Cory and Jimmy! You guys did a great job, as always! I really enjoyed this tour of the Rusty Wessel Fish house! I was waiting since I saw a preview of his Fish house in a past video! His fishroom is really nice, natural sunlight is great! ...And it saves on the electricity bill! I never liked American Cichlids because they are so big, but after seeing this video I changed my mind! They are awesome! I really love his ponds! The Koi in there look really nice! It's awesome to see that he is heating his ponds in the winter with fire! And I love the Betta above the toilet haha! Keep up the good work guys! Huge thumbs up as always!
The natural sunlight factor is very interesting, the way the building is setup up is genius. He’s got a lot of nice Fish I wish I had that’s for sure. Very cool tour Cory and jimmy 🙂
It's cool seeing all these fish in this video because I live in Belize (central america) and I spearfish. Many of the fish we catch here are the big cichlids and bay snook.
I honestly cant think of another situation where i have been so envious of another person , the guy has my dream fish room with 90 ish Cichlid tanks and then just as a small cherry on top 2 HUGE Koi ponds , amazing
What a great fishroom and those ponds are so cool. It has to be awesome to have collected almost every fish you keep. Way cooler then buying them from the lfs. Rusty seems like a friendly and knowledgeable guy too. Great video guys
Although I had some difficulties hearing Rusty at times, the video is awesome. I love that fish house especially incorporating natural light. I am looking forward to seeing more from Rusty in the future.
It was an awkward filming for us. Jimmy and myself were newer to working in person together. Along with us being late due to traffic and then Rusty being late due to traffic lol. In the future when we travel we'll have a few mic recorders to go around and sync up later in post.
This was absolutely amazing ! Cory and/or Jimmy I would love to see more of his fish (inside & out), plus more detail on all the mechanicals to make all of the magic possible. Maybe something in long form, raw footage, B roll, anything easy for you and more for your viewers. Rusty's property and whole setup is very very cool. Thank You for sharing .
Maybe I'll see if Jimmy has time to put a raw unedited version together. Could put it out on Patreon so it doesn't hurt the channel with poor retention time etc.

what can I say just amazing and the kois are beautiful nice fish house and the ponds are nice wish I had room to do this maybe one day my wish comes true.
Put about 30 4 inch butterfly koi in a 1/2 acre pond no big wild fish no bass or blue Gill etc .koi would Definitely love to hear anything I could take care of them in the future now that it’s winter we have a $1500 bubbler to take care of the fish and not feeding him through Michigan’s ice age I couldn’t believe how big they were

The question I would have liked answered is how does he manage to keep so many large cichlids in a single tank. What he is doing defies all the advice regarding stocking levels; on the face of it many of his tanks are massively overstocked, in some cases he has 10 fish in a tank which logic dictates is not big enough for anything apart from a pair yet all of the fish seemed very healthy. How does he do it?
