Okay, this may be my favorite video that you've made. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed so many of them, but this one had so much in it. Do you put backing on the reel before the braid to avoid the braid biting into the spool or do you just put straight braid on the reel?

I'm sure he does. Either mono or fluoro. Don't need alot. Just enough to cover the spool, very well.

Joey, I'm an inland catman, I want your opinion on a long casting bait feeder. I throw 3-5 oz lead and large cut bait. Talk to me brother. I also throw a 12' ugly stick big water.

@Eric Ferguson ok which one? Need a tall spool to handle mono, braid and rocky shelves don't mix. Looking at okuma but the short spool height has me waiting.

what are you fishing for? those tall spool reels aren't gonna hold up to locked drag shark fishing, they're designed for monofilament fishing for carp and pompano. if you're throwing 5 ounces and large cut bait, you're probably shark fishing and a daiwa bg 8000 would be plenty for what you're doing
