The Dance Of The Dragon's is full of bloody battles but the fishfeed also known as the battle by the lakeshore i by far the among the bloodiest and changes the course of the Dance Of The Dragon. With the green's still trying to rally there forces in the riverlands it was the job of the men of the Riverlands and the winter wolves from the north to stop that from happening in what would become a slaughter on the shores of the god's eye. i can't wait to see it on screen in house of the dragon.
The Fishfeed (Legendary Battles Of Westeros) House Of The Dragon History & Lore Dance Of The Dragons
The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on George R R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen was trapped on Dragonstone by her brother King Aegon ii with no way to escape her fate. What was to come was the final showdown between the two main players of the dance of the dragons and bring the war into its final phase. The House of the dragon was crumbling and the events that was about to follow would only cause more damage to both sides of the war.

In the long run, this battle was what ultimately doomed Aegon II. With the Lannisters essentially eliminated from the war and the Hightower army wiped out at Tumbleton, it left the Baratheons as the only Great House left supporting the Greens at the final stages of the Dance, and Boros just didn't have the numbers. Even if he'd won the Battle of The Kingsroad, he would've had to deal with the unbloodied armies of Cregan Stark and the Arryns.

It should have been the Starks and Arryns with the remenants of Riverland forces to line up against the Baratheons. The Rivermen counting 11 - 12k were annihalated at the 1st battle of Tumbleton, with another 4k during the 2nd battle

It's odd because it's a super important battle in the context of the war but with the lack of 'main' characters involved it does kinda make it somewhat easy for them to skip of they really wanted to. I'd hope not as it's a perfect way to introduce the north into the war.

heres the wiki numbers losses that everyones talking about :The description of the numbers on both sides during the battle is oddly worded in the text: when the westermen host set out into the riverlands, it says that Lord Jason Lannister brought a formidable host of "a thousand armored knights, and seven times as many archers and men-at-arms" - thus, at least 8,000. Other green armies, however, are consistently described as having core "regular" armies of knights/archers/men-at-arms, but then supplemented by three times as many sellswords, freeriders, camp followers, and feudal levies: the Hightower army is described as having 1,000 knights, 1,000 archers, and 5,000 men-at-arms...but also "thousands" of sellswords and rabble, and later is described as having 20,000 men in total. Aegon II's army in the Battle at Rook's Rest is described with the same ratio: 600 knights and men-at-arms, but also "thrice as many" sellswords and levies. Thus it is possible that at the beginning of their campaign, the host from the westerlands had an additional 24,000 sellswords and freeriders, for about 30-32,000 men in all. Conversely, this might mean that the number of soldiers on the blacks' side was also four times higher, because the text glosses over sellswords and levies. Then again, the greens absconded with the old royal treasury and controlled wealthy port cities, so it's possible that the greens were able to hire far more sellswords than the blacks. Even assuming the Lannister host only consisted of 8,000 men, the description of losses at the Fishfeed don't match up well: "By nightfall two thousand men were dead, amongst them many notables, including Lord Frey, Lord Lefford..." (listing lords from both sides). It then goes on to say that two thirds of the Winter Wolves died - a force that itself consisted of 2,000 men. This would mean that about 1,300 Winter Wolves died, then barely 700 men from both sides would have died in the entire battle. While the Lannister host took some losses in the riverlands campaign by that point, it couldn't possibly have been whittled down from 8,000 to less than 700. Thus it seems that this line is in error, and that the blacks lost 2,000 men in total, while the Lannister host of around seven to eight thousand men was completely destroyed

If cregan stark and jayne arryn had sended more help to the riverloards, then I think blacks would have been more able to send help to the black reachloards and attack westerlands itself. I think this would have forced tyrells to enter in the Frey. War would have been more decisive then in favor of blacks.
@B1ackWolf
@B1ackWolf Год назад
It's pretty much impossible to send more men from the north because of the size of the north. If they waited for more north men to show up they wouldn't have showed up at all. Just getting from winterfell to the neck is the same distance as getting from the rock to harrenhal.

@B1ackWolf
@B1ackWolf Год назад
@@AdityaSingh-iz5zs How would they provide continuous flow of men? Some of the castles are so far north the distance between them and the neck is the same as the neck to the border of Dorne with the Storm lands. By the time the second group arrives to help the first group the battle would already be finished and if the victor is the enemy it means you just send thousands of men to die with no hope for backup because the nearest backup is 3 months away.

@B1ackWolf
@B1ackWolf Год назад
@@AdityaSingh-iz5zs Bruh I don't think you understand English. To just send word to the other Nobels of the north takes a huge amount of time let alone to constantly march armies down the neck. And as for your "send ships from the vale" If it takes a huge amount of time to just send the men south how long do you think it would take to just send word to the vale to prepare ships to send them to the north so they can bring them back south? Also you're just forgetting that 90% of the north would still have to march for months to even reach the ships in the east. And this is without mentioning that your nobles need to gather the men first. Would you like me to explain to you that the story isn't set in a crusader kings game? The armies don't just pop up where you want them to.

It's a bit odd that the Lannisters were defeated so easily if they actually brought the bulk of their troops to the Riverlands. The numbers given in the book (only 7000 Westermen) however show that this is not the case, and one may then wonder how Dalton Greyjoy could have terrified the Westerlands for so long, with so few resources, when so many men remained to defend the Westerlands. I recall that during the War of the Five Kings, Tywin and Jaime raised more than thirty five thousand men in a few weeks... Afterwards, we know that Martin has more sympathy for blacks and that a certain number of inconsistencies disadvantage the Greens (Why does Aemond behave so stupidly strategically ? Why are the vassals of the Hightowers siding with Rhaenyra ? Why doesn't anyone think to attack the Velaryon fleet with the dragons instead of waiting for Meleys at Rook's Rest ? Why does Tessarion appear so late during the First Battle of Tumbleton ? Why is the Redwyne fleet never used by the Greens ?). I guess the Greens would have won the war too easily without all that...

Forget the North, Vale, Iron Islands, and even the dragons. The Riverlanders were the true MVP's in this war! They wiped out the entire Westerland host, killed Criston Cole and his army, survived Aemond's one-man (er...dragon) genocide, crippled the Green Army at the Second Battle of Tumblton with a bit of help from Adam of Hull, and it was their army that ultimately won the war and took Kingslanding after the Battle of the Kingsroad (AKA the Muddy Mess). And most of them were commanded by women and children near the end of the conflict! They put all the other Seven Kingdoms to shame.
