First part rings true with me. I had my Shakespeare President match rod stolen whilst fishing at Worsbrough Reservoir. Still remember that day so vividly even though its over 30 years ago

In the 1960’s the first two or three pegs directly over weir bridge at the Hardwick end were noted for the quality bream that frequented this part of the lake. In my teens these pegs were my favourite fishing locations and in those days Worksop & District Angling Association had a contract with the Landowners to allow their registered members to fish any where around the lake right up to the monumental bridge - happy days.

Never met Nick but he seems a real nice guy. I've watched a lot of the videos he does and his indepth commentaries are second to none.... I must say he's a little bit barking 😂 but his eye for detail sets him apart... Brilliant video well done lads and a Happy Christmas to you all 🎅 🎄 🌨

Sunday shopping changed fishing patterns as much as anything IMHO.

Also, the decline of large industry had an influence on numbers attending events. Bird predation and changes in agricultural practices of course played their part.
