I love CDs! Some of my faves for sound quality Who-Who’s Next Steely Dan- The Royal Scam Tom Petty-Anthology through the years Boston- Boston ZZTop- Greatest Hits Van Halen-Van Halen 1 Metallica-Kill em all
Thanks for posting this. I just purchased a used copy of a German Import CD of Dan's The Royal Scam. It should sound quite good and it's early '80's pressing too.
Very amusing video thank you for sharing. I too collect vinyl and cd and love both. Try Neil Diamonds original Hot August Night on vinyl, you really can feel he is in the room and you do feel him breathing! Have a great New Year.
Great ( sounding) selections . These are some CDs in my collection that have great sound : Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd Aja by Steely Dan I Robot by Alan Parsons Project Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie Crime of the Century by Supertramp Heartbeat City by The Cars Cheers !
Great video. My CD edition of Rumours has an extra track stuck in the middle of it, which I find annoying, not sure why they didn’t put it on the end!! 😀👍🏼
I’ve been curious about the Let It Bleed SACD for years now. Do you think I would benefit from this copy, considering that I have a dedicated CD player, but not an SACD player?
I'm testing sound systems...The best cd sounding cd i use...believe it or not...is Mezzanine (Massive Attack)...palette of sounds max large...female and male singing....max palette of sounds....
i still collect rock cd`s too !!! but i also remember my first cd copy of Led Zeppelin 2 sounded like shit !!! it was only after Jimmy Page had the entire Zeppelin catalog remastered for cd that the sound quality was where it needed to be !!! I bought some early cd`s that sounded terrible !!! back when they were new tech and were $30 a pop so they have come a long way ! but I`m not giving up my vinyl LOL !!!!!
The first pressing of Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" was not up to par... the sound level was very low and required cranking the volume, but then, when the next CD would start, it would hurt my ears!
Hi Jeff, you had me believing you until around the three minute mark with the comment about Christine McVeigh's tear drop, tear drops running down cheeks do not make noise. Well done, you had the most cynical person I know, me, believing you for three minutes. The only music that does sound good on CD is the music it was actually designed for because of the quiet and silent sections in the music: that is Classical music. Keep up the good work. I won't get fooled again........
