Everyone answers to someone or a group, a board, a committee. Their committees should fire them, they shouldnt be allowed to resign. Maybe the rest of the college and universities out there, UCLA Looney Lunatics Liberal Berkley comes to mind, would be hesitant in doing some of the BS they preach today!. These inept (Poison) Ivy league leaders did not provide a sincere apology, they only provided the (BS) they were forced to say in order to keep their jobs. I will not allow (or fund) my children and possibly my grand children to attend these Poison Ivy BS schools that definitely are not worth the cost.

I would fire these University presidents based on their performance in front of Congress and the press. What they did was bad business. Remember this is about IVY LEAGE schools not community college where it's usually an average 7-15k. You are also arguing a very specific thing that can be a range and change student by student (example there are people who are "professional students" who continue to take at last 1 class to stay enrolled and continue to take student loans and never pay them back since they are still considered "enrolled" who build up like 500k debt) Also the point of the matter outside of the number is the main discussion. The fact you are looking for a strawman argument to discredit the actual point shows how ignorant you are since you do not have an actual point. Shutting up now is a good way to say thank you for getting "informed".

It appears and sounds like these heads of these prestigious Ivy League colleges were versed by their attorneys in their responses to the questions. Smh. Their cold, calculated and heartless responses were despicable. If I were a Jewish parent, I would pull my kids out of those schools. Every student there deserves to be treated well withought harassment and fear of their safety. These heads need to resign in disgrace for siding with dangerous ideology over safety of the students that pay sky high in tuition.

My daughter said NO to all these Ivy League schools when she got accepted. She was wiser than them and just wanted to say NO THANK YOU!!! She didn’t need to over pay for a degree, graduating knowing less , and just graduating with school title. She is now a specialist in orthopaedic surgery.

Not everyone is a Steve Balmer who ends up meeting Bill Gates or Eduardo Saverin who met Mark Zuckerberg, all at Harvard, and are all billionaires as a result. Usually, it doesn’t pay off. They were allowing free speech on campus, which apparently included some anti-war speech targeted at israel which, I don't know exactly what was said was interpreted as anti-semantic speech. The video clip that keeps playing of the hearing poses the question to these Presidents around "calls for genocide" which, from what I've read digging into the context was being used as a carefully wordsmith example of what could have been said by students as a hypothetical scenario, but not something that occured. The extreme used as a "would you condone this" and classify it as free speech scenario, but also cleverly staged to demonize these leaders... Giving the media the needed viral sound clips with the context trimmed off. This is the disinformation age. I'm not saying these Presidents of Prestigious schools acted correctly, but what is very clear is that we are getting further and further from having full context on scenarios... Do you want to live in a world where someone has no freedom of speech to speak out against the actions of Israel without immediately being labeled as anti-semitism??? Unfortunately that extremism is happening right now.on a lot of fronts... And there is real anti-semistism happening too, but we have to be careful with where that line for "free speech" is drawn... Remember the definition of "hate speech" is largely subjective and weaponized for agenda.
