Because that's a dumb question? "How do you, someone running for an institutional office, reach out to people who don't trust institutions?" That is a BS framing. You reach people like that by speaking to things they care about, same as anyone else. If they are worried about their 2nd amendment rights, then go with that. If they have been struggling with a loved one who needs abortion rights, that's the issue to vote for. There's no point in addressing "anti-institution" voters because we're voting for the leader of the biggest institution IN THE WORLD. It's just a question of which side, if either, is less terrible to each individual voter, because "anti-institution" is literally a nothing-burger. You need to target everything that they care about, not what they don't.

I don’t understand why people keep saying Harris has no clear policies or plans and then ask why she has not implemented her new plans while she was in office. These statements are mutually exclusive. Either she has plans, and then you can ask why she did not carried them out yet, or she has no plans, but then you cannot ask that question. In the same way, you cannot accuse her of being a radical when she has no plans… I think it is obvious she does have plans, and they are pretty clear too. Much clearer than Trump’s, to be honest. Some might not like her plans, but that is another discussion. If having a clear plan and a vision was the deciding factor, Harris would win easily. Trump just says he will make things better. But how?

I agree, but remember - a conclusion is almost always still an opinion. People actually start with conclusions, then allow confirmation bias to solidify their opinion, that's one of the strongest instincts we have...and you can see it in most Trump supporters certainly. Otherwise, why would they continue to support him? Knowing that others also support him is more important than a trivial thing like critical thinking or objective assessment. Most don't have much experience with those things at all, so belief becomes the overriding factor, along with a history of conditioned resentment, zero-sum thinking etc. I won't bore you with the diatribe, but want to chime in about how we are all in the end very tragically bias and opinionated...even the scientists and people of high status...sometimes even more bias and opinionated the higher in stature we are perceived to be. When I went to vote last time (I am an Independent) I didn't understand the computer used for voting (yes I am older). I had a republican representative and a democrat representative come in with me. They explained how it worked. I said ok I understand. The republican rep backed away but the democrat rep started to press choices that aligned with her party.
