It looks like the Bible teaches that the 5 fold ministry equips the next generation of disciples who are then empowered and go forth into various fields of labour. Out of these disciples emerge the next 5 fold ministry and the cycle continues. All work together to fully equip. Thanks so much.

Good to hear the church welcoming the five fold and acknowledging them.

Why we don't see the Fivefold ministry fully functional in the church? Why are all the gifts of Spirit fully functional in the churches?

If bishop is the highest office in church and it is presented as a distinct office from the pastor,then why isnt it a part of the fivefold ministry? The bible intertexualy teaches that a bishop/elder/pastor/overseer are all one in the same office,then why the churches separate these offices as if there different offices?

Why the leaders of the churches are not practicing and enforcing the proper use of tongues as well as how the church should conduct themselves when speaking in tongues?

I attended UPCI and trinity pentecostal churches. I never heard of prophets until I saw them in trinity churches calling people out naming their addresses names sicknesses and seeing miracles. Im oneness believing, but didn't see all of the ministries in operation in both trinity and oneness. The trinity has evangelists and prophets the oneness has pastors and evangelists and teachers. I've seen miracles in both churches. I've never seen an apostle.

Question why did upc comdem this teaching of a 5 fold ministy in the past official church council of 1950. Do we need more than the word of God which is our foundation that the apostles laid Ephesians 2:20 the word of God is complete. See 2nd Timothy 3:14-17. If a man were an apostle he could add to the word of God. And we no we can't add to the word of God. See rev. 22:18,19

To be an apostle of Christ you had to be chosen by Christ. I believe Jesus miraculously chose Paul to be his 12th. Jesus never chose Mathias. And the 11 confirmed Paul had been with Jesus. Because of all that he personally was taught by Jesus. If we don’t have that kind of apostle today then why not call them missionaries? If not an apostle of Jesus Christ then the authority that came along with that isn’t there. I’m not for or against I’m just unclear. I believe in the gift of prophecy but that doesn’t mean you’re a prophet.

With all due respect to those who call themselves an Apostle in this day and age. How can the following 2 Questions be answered by such a person? 1) In the book of Revelation we read of the 12 foundations of the Apostles...which one of the foundations if any is named after you? 2) If the Apostle Paul said 'I am the least of the Apostles' ....then are you less or greater than the Apostle Paul? These are 2 honest questions brethren.....they may not make some feel comfortable but they are asking how are you in harmony with the scriptures? Our ministry is apostolic and it stays apostolic when we respect the ministry of those 12 who lived in the 1st century.... By the way one , Paul, did warn of 'false Apostles'. Frankly we should not try to bloat ourselves by giving titles even to the guy in the mirror.. let's humble ourselves and win souls instead of being fixated and spending too much time on puffing ourselves up. 12 is the number of completeness ...one more is going beyond what is already completed. The blessings of the Lord be upon us.
