This spring ride takes you through a beautiful landscape formed in the ice age. This is the very landscape where the Vikings of Denmark lived in ancient times. Much of this area has been converted into a National Park. The ride starts in Roskilde at the Viking Ship Museum located at the waterfront. From here you ride through the harbor and along the fjord of Roskilde. Narrow gravel roads take you inland to beautiful yellow Canola fields. Sometimes you leave the open space and ride through forests. Some roads take you up hills where you can enjoy the view of the fjord. The ride ends in front of the Unesco-listed Cathedral of Roskilde. All the kings and queens of Denmark are buried in this very cathedral. All in all a country bliss ride, with rolling hills and beautiful landscapes. Perfect for beginners and intermediate riders.
In this ride-along video, you ride at the speed of a trained cyclist. If you want to ride at your own speed, please look below for how you can make that possible with our indoor cycling app Open Road.

Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road:
Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. The app lets you ride the ride for real and provides a better and more realistic indoor cycling experience compared to our ride-along videos on RU-vid. The app is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices, including smart trainers, power meters, and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can control the speed manually and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data displayed during the training session.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute RU-vid and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, RU-vid, etc…) pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride...
