This man is literally a jojo character just thrown in demon slayer

Like Uzui's trait of hiding insecurities using his flamboyance which is kinda like naruto who used pranks as a way to hide his loneliness and insecurities.

FINALLY, you talk with anyone that has read Demon Slayer and no one mentions Tengen, he's a great character and people don't see it

He is a wonderful husband. And he looks WAY better with his hair down and eyepatch.

Idky people think tengen is weak because he barely won against upper moon 6 while lethally poisoned. Not to mention that cutting off two heads at once isn’t easy when other demon uses long ranged attacks.

Since they have the same voice actor , I think he’s Diavolo from Jojo . And they’re both flamboyant.

Tengen: *Is Sound Hashira* Me: Oh, so he was raised as a Ninja, so it is a subtle breathing type... Tengen: *Uses Explosions* Me: AH yes...nice and subtle...

Where are the applications to be his fourth wife? ...Asking for reasons.

Some things I noticed: On the subject of chain and sickle, tengen's opponent wielding sickles is notable. It could be a metaphor for his denial of the past, not only modifying a weapon of the ninja for his own flamboyant use, but also literally defeating the other part of the original weapon, proving himself to be independent of the power of the shinobu. Also, his life being saved from the poison in an explosion of demon fire has to be the most flamboyant way to survive said poison. Best Pillar ever.

Tengen is a blast to see and his interaction with Inosoke being himself is really nice

So this man is essentially a cross between Obito and Kakashi with the power of Micheal Bay and has the ego of Thanos and DIO Combined. Gotta say, I like him already and can’t wait for him to appear in the anime.

“He wasn't gifted, he worked hard to keep up with everyone,” I think I relate to him to an extent. I'm not crying, yet.

I always thought since he has the breath of sound that his nichirn blades built up power like a turning fork since the shape is so distinct and weird

I can imagine all of Uzui's forms being loud as hell in the anime adaptation since the breathing style is literally the *SOUND* breathing

What's another interesting thing about his idolization of Rengoku is that Rengoku was easily the most Samurai-like of the hashira, even coming from a family that had been serving the Demon Slayer Corp for generations, and following a life style and mindset very in line with the tenets of Bushido. Yet Tengen was a shinobi, the polar opposite of the gallant and honorable image of the samurai warrior. Perhaps this is what made Rengoku such a good leader, and what made the cloak and dagger, militaristic raised Tengen admire him so much, Tengen craved the honorable, upstanding and heroic personality that Rengoku had.

Fell in love with his character when I got into the manga…so glad he lived to see another day

This guy is the most wholesome anime character I know of that has more than spouse in a polyamorous relationship. The others are usually just perverts or gross older men.

The only question I have is: Can he take off those golden rings from his arms or are they just stuck because he is this buff?

I always kinda viewed Tengen and his wives in a polygamous marriage where they all love each other, and not just the three of them loving Tengen. They don't fight over him like every harem protagonist, they genuinely all just love him and want to help him and from my understand the other wives. Just a headcanon tho.

I'd really like to see a video regarding the tragedy of Akaza or Kikushibou/Mikatsuchi. The latter, especially, as the subject matter of his backstory (jealousy) is something I'm sure anyone can relate to.

Have anyone ever noticed how Tengan's sound breathing is not really a extra power but rather using his physique to do some fast swings, Kanroji also seems to be like this.

this dude has so much potential when the anime finally introduces him and shows him in action i can't help but imagine a fight involving him playing out like that one sequence in Baby Driver, synced up to the OST, and i LIVE for that stuff, it'd be so good!!!

Him and rengoku are the ones i look up to be better at my life in this series. Rengoku saying to set your hear in flame when you feel or think that the pain and the strugle is too much (Reminds of Guts almost) and do your best with a smile on your face. Uzui beeing who he is even if its against his upbringing and wantimg a more compassionare and happy and flamboyant life XD. I still workig my ass and falling again and again but i will reach their level someday.

So I’ve begun to notice a pattern when it comes too Tengen and Zenitsu. I can’t particularly say the same for the other pillars but both of them share a very keen sense of hearing. I wonder if Giyu and the wind pillar that I can’t remember the name of share a superhuman sense of touch and smell like Tanjiro and Inosuke. Since those senses have been key to them learning their respective breathing styles

I love how Tengen goes against the classic anime trope of people with no talent can never succeed people with talent

Tengen is definitely the most skilled of all the pillars by far. Plus, the slander on Tengen and him not being as strong as the other Pillars is whack, he managed to fight off an upper moon, two really, and he even lost a limb and kept going. Regardless if the upper moon 6 is not supposed to be as strong as the others, but their technique was specifically so different and savage that they are that much of a challenge. *Spoilers* Now if he got a mark! oh man, it would be game over, he would've been so amazing against Muzan and the other upper moons. Also, I love the tragedy of his character, he is amazing. Absolutely love Tengen.
