I don’t understand the part about the preborn Jesus being “barely able to breathe” and unable to move. If these are Jesus’ words as dictated to Luisa, then Jesus would know that fetuses (preborn infants) don’t begin breathing until AFTER they are born. Any pregnant woman can tell you that they can also be quite active prior to birth. On the other hand, I can easily believe that a fully awake, aware and divine being would find the 9 month period of time before birth to be torturous. Though I find other Divine Will Flame of Love rosaries deeply meaningful and intense, I’ve had a lot of trouble connecting to this one. I’m not suggesting that Luisa was lying or faking, but that this section of her writings were either mistranslated or were the less reliable inner locutions rather than visions. If from inner locutions, then perhaps her lack of experience with pregnancy or infants had an impact on her perception in this area… or perhaps it was the general lack of knowledge in that day. If anyone has better insight into the content of this devotion, I’d appreciate it.
