Booster Gold is actually always saving the universe without anyone even noticing. It was so sad when Batman realized this and helped him but he forgot when his memory was erased but booster gold had taken a picture so he always remembers the time Batman actually praised and thanked him.

The problem i have with this is Harley isnt strong enough to knock wonder woman down, she has super durability her body would just bounce off wonder woman, and the fact that she got the upper hand on batman like that makes no sense, and the fact that she got away somehow, when two of the ppl there have extreme amounts of speed, which tells me the writer just forced the heroes to stand there instead of hunting her down in seconds lol , you cant get away from superhuman speed with regular speed lmao ,

Your enthusiasm is infectious, so even if I didn't like a story beforehand, after you explain I tend to like it. The Flash is a great character to explore complexities with and I think it would be neat if maybe comics annually did a run exploring different mental health themes. Even tho I don't necessarily want comics to be dragged into the mud of reality. And I think anyone, anywhere, at any time can relate to the idea of having a crisis. Heck I've seen my family's pet cats have a crisis when someone else feeds them or the litter box gets moved. So, it was a good run, humanizing the hero is somewhat taboo for comics but every now and then it offers some good insights. Marvel tried to do it with grief in Wandavision but Picard season 3 nailed it with the captain of the Titan. When he broke down from the trauma he experienced tangentially in events from TNG was just, so good.

This was a unique story, to bring all the heros to what felt like Watchmen level, were you get so much of their struggles and see them for thr people trying to get by, and Wally, this was a guy who was litrally about to commit suicide.

What i like about this story is even people with powers beyond what we could ever have are still people and deal with things mentally that we normal people do and I really admire that 😔

Heroes in crisis did what it was supposed to correctly. Subverting the expectations of a traditional comic with humanization. The ending while disappointing was more of it trying to be a traditional comic which is it's weakness. I would have liked it if it was non canon and they used that to have a better ending so that it properly explained the traumas of the heroes without having the ramifications of killing off characters

This story was AMAZING, it had genuine mystery, showed the characters in their depth and humanity, and really drew you in. This was not a bang-bang-smashy-smashy kids story at all, rather, a it was a fully developed novel with pictures. Just exquisite.

I've read in one of the DC comics long ago, can't remember which story, but Batman essentially says that Clark Kent, even though a alien, has more humanity being raised by loving parents than Bruce Wayne. Bruce's humanness died with his parents and in it's place is a emotionally stunted empty person that is filled with rage.

Of course the superhero recordings were saved, we're seeing them now :P

I like the concept of Sanctuary. The heroes need an outlet for everything going on in their lives. Just like regular people they suffer from addiction depression and other mental health problems. it's nearly impossible to talk out it with a psychiatrist need to keep their hero identity and secret identity separated. Like that Sanctuary is a place to heal so that when duty calls they are ready to save the day without worrying about any burdens they have.

I don’t understand how a jacked superhuman with super strength, speed, endurance, flight and more (booster gold) has any trouble at all dealing with a women with schizophrenia. Maybe I’m wrong but Harley Quinn literally has zero powers, even if booster gold had no powers he’s still ripped and a grown man fighting a schizophrenic that doesn’t work out it makes no sense

then years later in the animated series of young justice we find out lagoon boy or lagon was actually the second aqua lad and he ended up making a magical pact or some crap to become lagoon boy

Regardless of society everyone has freedom, its just there is always a consequence for that freedom, some good, others bad. I don't like it when people start saying their taking freedoms away or this and that, its not making you be able to do whatever you want but cause and effect says for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction same with free will and human choices. Ya we could be more free, go back to non-tech and all that but that isn't how human's evolve, knowledge and humans basic instincts is what humans are. So I don't really agree with this type of mindset, because it can be dangerous. In the real world we don't have super hero's to save us from an asteroid or galactic event that could just wipe us out and the only way we can survive longer and protect ourselves is to advance into technology, id say that since the resources are finite at the moment, its not likely all of it is going to something that will help humanity. Humanity has to eventually make a choice, either change and except that for the sake of future generations some freedoms that before wouldn't get you in trouble will now, and that is mainly because there has to be a system, government to unite such a huge group of people, and to manage resources in a way that allows them to find more or recycle. With space mining we would have an abundance of material if we not just as a nation but a group of nations with a huge budge for space habitation, a network of ships that can mine the Moon and asteroids for pretty much anything, and defend us against stuff like asteroid impacts. Also going to the space or branching out into it, gives you a better chance of survival in the event that something happens to the world, if you had a sizable portion of your people in space stations and habitats on other planets increases our chances of surviving and advancing longer. Humans have a huge capacity for adaptation and the Earth is becoming smaller and smaller with more and more people living longer and longer. Either you accept change and go full into futurist, common wealth, and collective consciousness of Humans and what/who we are. Religion is perfectly fine, and quantum mechanics and how I view things in probabilities that there is never a 0% or 100%, that all of existence is between these two numbers is where we get not so much branching timelines. The neat thing is that in this way, to me I think that whatever Religion you follow or practice is real for you and the same could be said about another person with a completely different religion they along with everyone else technically be right, when you think about it Faith is all about who you are what you are your ego and your morals, so to is Religion more of a personal thing or should be treated as such. Going to war, or hating someone due to something they believe in is just dumb, arrogant behavior, it does nothing but brings destruction. But I am afraid that we are in a dangerous era of our existence in relation with the galaxy and universe. Something huge is going to happen, and either humanity comes together as a whole species not just nations and people, that we will see this brighter and better future we can help make right now. Kind of ranty my bad. Just my opinion, I just get triggered with this whole freedom no freedom thing. Comparing way back during the Neanderthals age ya you had more freedom but that comes with a consequence, an bunch of them. Humans will and kind of have to accept technology as not just something they created but something that is apart of humanity no different than an arm or leg and knowing that will help us better integrate to a more advanced civilization with a completely different focus, united in their effort. We could do it, Governments could give tons of money to space and new technologies instead of just throwing money away on military for wars that should not be fought in the first place. Yah defending yourself is fine, but USA spends way way way too much on it, and if they changed and spearheaded a more humanitarian futurism drive for living in space we could get things done very very quickly.

Yeah the ending of this story was completely skewed off of what it COULD have been....How Wally West committed murder on such a scale....had my head hurting cause he's my Flash, not Barry, not Jay, WALLY! This is beyond a fall and it was handled in such a way that, yeah, it was a cheap out by 'the world's greatest hero you never knew' booster gold, sigh. I did read the stuff leading to Wally being in Metron's chair but, really, nah...just nah.

Story bugged me, right after wally’s emotional return in rebirth let’s have him kill everyone.

Was Harley given insane superstrength and superspeed off panel? How does she manage to hurt Wonder Woman? How does she not get blitzed by Superman, The Flash, or even Wonder Woman? Feels like the writers constantly forget just how fast they've made their own characters... Them worrying that Harley would break Batman's neck before they could get to her is absolutely nonsensical. Also, how did Harley get away? Superman being distracted by kryptonite doesn't prevent Wonder Woman from capturing her. Feels like the writers just really wanted the story to go a certain way, but couldn't be bothered to think it through.

I believe one of the few times something like Paradise occurred before this is in Batman Beyond with the character Maxene where not only does she know Terry was Batman but she knew him since childhood. So, they can just talk about anything to each other. There's a big theory in BTAS that after a certain point, the Ivy that was shown was a clone and that the original had been dead. So, having a clone Ivy showing up here is nothing new.

I like when The Flash is used as a writing tool he’s like the living embodiment of time itself, Batman is the dark, while Superman is the light Neither can exist without all 3 heroes that’s why The Flash always comes back to the present. I think it’d be cool if the Flash and Batman worked together on solving crimes that especially have to do with time. The Flash can always rewind time and solve cold cases that Batman could never solve

As far as Batman lying to Superman about the kryptonite in his belt.... Kal-El HAS to know that if Batman lets him know he has kryptonite, the kryptonite is useless because Superman can remove the belt before Batman can react! I AM a little surprised he had it in his belt and not in a hidden compartment somewhere else in his suit! The belt is kinda obvious.

I HATED this story. It's sort of a Marxist interpretation which screws the pooch in both directions. DC Heroes are written in comics. They are stories, they aren't real, they are SUPPOSED to be aspirational. It conflates this with a story of how real heroes can't be perfect. So it's a strawman of heroes on that end. And then it goes and ruins the aspirational part. The writer literally writes contrived reasons based and past contrived reasons why the heroes don't act heroic. And as the Marxist trick usually goes, it tears down everything else except for itself. Which raises it up

I like your enthusiasm but i think this video is over-explained, you're explaining the context of every little thing when speaking for myself i would prefer one that only explains the main plot of the comic, you get side-tracked very easily.

It was something I was honestly looking for. I often question if any Hero in entertainment often experience PTSD or any other psychological trauma after their encounters on the job.

*Fun fact:* For those who wanted Wally to permanently be Flash, in the novelization of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Barry stays dead forever, as the epilogue show us a flashforward in which Wally is still the only Flash when Bart Allen is already a kid. It was truly a satisractory moment

I get why superman would be offended by batman having cryptonite on him, but he has to consider that the justice league has had to fight more sinister versions of superman on multiple occasions which proves even the man of Steel has the potential to turn to evil. Who can blame him.
