Does no one realize how insane of a speed feat this really is? He is making a speed mirage throughout the entire trap scene while beating up barry and disarming multiple cops. I mean, he can't just stop making a speed mirage or else Joe would see that "Wells" suddenly disappeared, so he logically is keeping up the act. This is probably the most insane speed feat of the first 3 seasons, or at the very least, season 1.

1:12 - "Not fast enough, Flash." Gives the chills every time I hear it.

To answer FAQs: "Why didn't he kill Eddie?": Eobard is the possible descendant of detective Eddie Thawne. Why kill your own ancestor? Then you won't exist. " How did he beat up Wells if he is Wells?": As Barry stated in "Flashpoint Paradox" graphic novel, Eobard can create copies of himself. Wells creates a copy to steal the prototype and beat him up, and gets rid of it later. "How were there two speedsters there that night?": Again, an easter egg to "Flashpoint Paradox". Barry goes back in when he's older to prevent Eobard from killing his mother. Either that, or it was Jay Garrick somehow.

A nice detail I enjoyed from season two is that in Episode 11, “The Reverse Flash Returns”, Barry (upon catching Thawne and fighting in him in the warehouse) mutters the words “Not fast enough, Thawne” before knocking him out and taking him to the STAR Labs Pipeline. It was nice to have a call back to Thawne’s “Not fast enough, Flash.” Quote.

I've always loved how Thawne interacts with Eddie. He takes everyone else out, makes face to face eye contact with Eddie just to spook him and then shoves him out of the way when Joe shoots. Thawne is in complete control of everything even when his direct ancestor is in the way.

When you think about it the fight was very unfair. This Reverse Flash is used to fighting Barry at his peak and is fighting a rookie flash.

Barry truly never actually beat reverse flash, well future reverse flash, he had help from firestorm and arrow the first time and Eddie killed himself to erase him.

The writers had to put some debuffs for Flash we clearly don't know about because he should be impossible to touch or outsmart. He isn't only a fast runner, everything in his body and mind is faster and he recognizes information and thinks like 1000 times faster than anyone else so he shouldn't be able to be surprised because right when the situation changes he has already gone through every single possible situation in his brain and he has calculated every outcome and consequence of every action. His world is going on a -92048290% speed and a one minute for us feels like 100 years for him. Though Reverse Flash can stop and manipulate time so maybe he can win Flash but I really see how any other DC villain could beat him

Somebody brought down the voice effects on this clip, so that Reverse Flash would have his normal voice, and it was Harrison Wells saying the lines. So yeah, it's not somehow Eddie, they're not gonna do some weird swerve, it IS Wells.
